Happy Monday everyone. I’m back from a great vacation and well rested. 😂 I’m so kidding, I don’t think I’ve been this tired in my life. Enjoyed hiking, biking, jeeping, four wheeling, fishing, you know, all the things. This is my guest house closet. Love how I was able to make the only closet have so much valuable storage. Now, to do more laundry? What do you dislike most when you get home from vacation?
This is real life. This is in progress. It’s not clean and it’s not pretty. I was realllyyyyy struggling last night because this one project has disrupted the hub of our living space which causes a trickle down effect to every other living space. So I was going around looking at this mess and that mess and this pile and that pile and driving myself nuts. Yes, I wanted to show you a pretty, styled after photo, but I also want you to see what the process looks like. @yorklynhome built out the island and then I primed it. I have to paint it this week 🤞🏻 and now the countertop install has been pushed from Tuesday to Thursday. But that’s real life. Projects take time and real life happens in between. So be patient with yourself. I’ll try to heed my own advice today 😉 #dontwait#progressoverperfection#chrislovesjulia#diyhomedecor#diyhomeprojects#diyblogger#delawareblogger#youcandoitdecor#mybhg#myfixerupper#celebrateprogress#kitchenisland#kitchengoals
We have had a few delays with our #vegasfixerupper projects but, we are excited to be clicking forward this month with flooring and bathroom renovations! We paid a visit to @flooranddecor today and found a ton of amazing deals on tile! Take a look at these cute options. The price points range from $.89/SF - $2.69/SF. Since this house will be converted to a rental property in the coming months, we will likely be looking at the most economical option but, we sure had fun choosing the tile for the bathrooms! Tell me which one you like best! 🤔 . . #fixerupper#myfixerupper#lasvegasfixerupper#vegasfixerupper#diyhomeimprovement#diyhome#lasvegasliving
Isn't it incredible how everything flowers before it fruits? I'm not sure which I like more, the flower or the fruit! . It's also incredible how everything in the garden is always in its own phase. Our squash is in full bloom, but our raspberries are almost done ripening. Our tomatoes look like little thumbs. Everything is working diligently according to its own internal clock, yet also all depending on the same vital materials. . It's the same feeling of being surrounded by tons of faces in church and feeling a sort of quiet symphony. Everyone in a very different place in life, and yet together, whether flowering or fruiting, making up a garden that wouldn't be the same without each precious plant.
It’s not the greatest picture ever, but we’re almost done the kids’ bathroom!!! 😱😭🙌🏻🎊🎉 Swipe to see a before picture from 2 years ago when we bought the house. The original floors you see here were covered with plywood and stick-on linoleum. They were damp and smelled horribly like mold. The walls had a blue stencil that was half painted over and then left to dry. The shower was so gross that nobody in our family would use it. And the toilet was rusted completely. 😂 We ripped up the old floor, stained the original floor Minwax Early American, put up beadboard and painted it a bright white, added a new faucet that doesn’t leak, a $40 Marketplace chandelier, crown molding, and can’t wait to put in a glass shower in the corner down the road. You should definitely check out my bathroom story highlight to see what we started out with a few months ago. It wasn’t pretty. 😬 Thank you so much for following along as we brought this cute little bathroom back to life. 🤗❤️ #hideandseekfarm#farmhousebathroom#bathroombeforeandafter
I just couldn’t wait to get up this morning to finish this little project, so I woke up at 5:30... yes am..haha. If I haven’t said it enough before, I live in a small farmhouse! I have no “entry area” but I desperately wanted one. So I had this 29” wall space between the door and the first of 7 windows in the front area of house to work with. With 7 windows that gives us a TON of light .....but limits my wall space 🤔. So here it is complete now with a mirror that I LOVE❤️❤️❤️!!!!!! I bought one from pier one last Christmas because our home was on a Christmas Home tour and I had to have something because I just had not found the “perfect” mirror ....yet... I found this very unique frame from my friend a few weeks back, Donna Bell, she is a incredible antique dealer with awesome prices! I cleaned it up, and hubby repaired one joint, had a mirror cut for it and well here she is! I tried to crop out my ugly door, because we are finally getting a new one in a week or so..... stay tuned for that! I love my little farmhouse with its quirks and I hope I have encouraged you to go treasure hunting and get your decorating on! #farmhouse#repurposedfurniture#mythriftedhome#fleamarketstyle#southernliving#myfixerupper#alabasterlamp#crocks
