I have recently hired a nutrition coach for myself and after only less than a week, it has already proven to be worthwhile investment. But why? I’ve been a personal trainer for going on 5 years, I’ve a sound knowledge of what my body requires to perform well and how I can manipulate my diet to get the results I want and I’m half way through my MSc in Nutrition, why would I need a nutrition coach? - Three good reasons: - Accountability - because we are not always as good at putting what we know we should be doing into practice. - Support - because my job is to support others and their goals, it’s nice to have someone else worry about mine. - Knowledge - because there is ALWAYS something you can learn from other people, no matter how much you already know. People have had different experiences, therefore have acquired different knowledge and developed different skill sets. I’m simply buying more tools for my already substantial tool kit. - Are you struggling to get the results you want, training not going as well as you’d hope, energy and sleep not good, it could all be related to what you’re putting in your gob. - Have you ever had a nutrition coach and what was your experience like? Today’s food choices are going to revolve around recovering from cold/flu/fever.... I just had a 14 hour sleep trying to fight off whatever illness I have (filled with cold, shivers, and body aches). Waking up with a green tea with sliced fresh lemon and a satsuma. The antioxidants in these will help boost my immune system. In an ideal world I’d have some Brazil nuts for selenium boost as well but I’m not about to leave my house feeling like this.

Negative 😳 - All it cares about is: 🤯Using special marketing targeted to what they know you want to hear so you follow what's trending - 🤯Hook you in with words like shred, burn, tone, and skinny so that you buy all of the dumb fuck and usually expensive things - 🤯Milking you of more and more money as you jump from product to product, and shred to shred, diet to diet. Anddd these are some of the contributing reasons to how its become a multi million dollar industry yet obesity is still on the rise - Coaches like me on the other hand though, HATE the above system with a passion and care about: - 😁Helping you to become aware of the above bullshit so you follow and adhere to what's proven - 😄Educating you to understand how the game that is health/fat loss/ nutrition/ training works so that you don't cruise along aimlessly winging it - 😁Equip you with personal development and psychological work so that you can create lasting beliefs, and habits to end what cycles hold you back - 😁Freeing you from said system so you can be a role model to others being milked by the system showing them what's possible - - The dieting industry cares about your money. I was super hungry after an hour of cardio followed by an hour of strength training yesterday!  4oz of boneless skinless rotisserie chicken, pickled onions, mini sweet peppers, 2 oz. Of ciabatta with 2oz fresh mozzarella, tomato, and balsalmic glaze.
Mother in law is staying this week so it's been nice having someone to eat lunch with.. Treated her to my poached eggs today 🤗.. Been out walking with my mates this morning, hopefully squeezing in a nap now, got Haydns swimming after school and then hopefully a gym session with Ewan tonight so my wellbeing meter is nice and full.. It’s #weighinwednesday and somehow this chick still put up a loss! I started the month at 281.8, i had an absolutely record breaking May, and throughout this month had two weeks inactive, went up to 284 and back down to 278.  My weigh ins were all over the place. But I put up a loss in the end and I’m thrilled.  I’ve lost 109.8 pounds total. This month I ran my fastest mile ever, I got to my son before he got to the road because I’m faster than before, I shared a hospital bed with my daughter while she was sick and held her for four days without growing weak, I cut out dairy and cut back on meat, I had so many small non scale victories. This month was a lot about growth of the mind. I feel strong, determined and capable. Work at lunch today! The salad was really nice and it’s only 99 calories😋Had already eaten my crisps and Alpen Light bar before I took the photo🙊 My food isn’t too dissimilar to when I was following #slimmingworld but I just feel like I’m getting on better with #myfitnesspal app and #caloriecounting already! Had 6 biscuits at work with a cuppa 🍪 which would of been like 24 syns! (Biscuits are my downfall normally but with calorie counting I have them and then if I need to change the amount of calories I have left for tea or lunch then I just do that)  Sounds silly and there’s not much different going on with what I eat but I’m just loving it😁
235kg Deadlift PR💪 . It’s been 7 months since I last tested my DeadLift 1 Rep Max. This time it’s under slightly different circumstances. . Back then I was coming to the end of a 12 week bulk where I’d been on 3800 calories. For the past 8 weeks I’ve been operating in a deficit of around 2300 calories. . Body weight wise I’m sitting about 5lbs down. But I’d like to think that’ll be fat as today shows it’s had no effect on my strength. . Consistency in both my training and nutrition have and always will be the key elements. Plus also placing trust in the process. . Once again huge thanks to my Coach Kevin down @clydecoastcrossfit for his outstanding programming and also for having the patience of a saint and putting up with me each and every morning. . Thanks also to @jamessmithpt for delivering the simplest straight to the point guidance on nutrition that has enabled an average joe like me to achieve what I have in this last year. .
