Fun fact: I’ve wanted to try renegade rows for a long time, but have never managed to work them into my back day till now. I think there’s something about them that is so strong. It requires so much core strength as well as upper body. I still have some work to do on the core part, but we all have to start somewhere! I’m glad I was able to film it so I know where I need to improve. Happy Monday all! #myfitnessjourney#noexcuses#momscanlifttoo#strongnotskinny#backday#renegaderow
I am my worst critic. My mile time this morning was horrific (even if I was interrupted by my toddler 3x’s). I see myself in pictures and cringe. That tire around my waist only seems to be getting bigger. The negative self talk kicks in and I spiral down a dark hole. I am so upset and ashamed with myself for letting myself get this out of shape and unhealthy. I have to remind myself my body isn’t amazon prime and it isn’t going to show up in 2 days. It took a while to put all this weight on, it’s going to take a while to lose it all. I pushed through a rough run this morning— that’s better than no run at all, right? #thestruggleisreal#myfitnessjourney#beingreal#happymonday
Getting into and sticking into a routine is SO hard. Fall it out of it is SO FREAKIN EASY. 🤯 . . . I have definitely fallen out of it. I’ve put myself on the back burner and I really regret it now. . . Here’s to continuing progress and getting back into a healthy routine. It’s a lifestyle change. 🥂
Happy #motivationmonday 🙌🤩 @thicktofitmajesty said it best this morning when she said be your own motivation!! We all slip and fall 😬nobody is perfect but looking back on how far I’ve come helps me keep moving forward. I will never be perfect but I’m a hell of a lot better than I used to be and will continue to climb that hill 💪 I’m not gonna lie, wearing this two piece in public makes me feel super exposed and I’m still not 100% comfortable but I’m working through the uncomfortableness... and that’s where the magic is ✨
Coming in from a holiday weekend like Whoa!! 😮Great weekend with family and friends. Lots of laughs, drinks and great food! Back to the grind today and @joelfreemanfitness handing our @$$ to us first thing on a Monday! 💪🏼🙌🏻👊🏼 #holidayweekendrecovery#backtothegrind#nevermissamonday
Late brunch. Went a walk round Strathclyde Park with my mum and gran & the wee doggie. Mum hasn’t been shopping yet so lack of food and speed. 😬 quick bite before my train back up to Perth with a mountain of Easter eggs. 🙈Scrambled Egg, smoked bacon with fat cut off and 2x artistian pork chipolatas for 5 syns.
Out here trying to up my Crazy Dog Mom game 💁🏼♀️ • Easter was a blast seeing all of my family, but the time for fun and games are over. Summer is around the corner. I have a huge hike, a 10K and @positivelyfitcommunity ‘s Fit Boot Camp between me and Europe. • Today we slept off the sleepies from partying and traveling all weekend. Tomorrow killer leg day to prepare for the upcoming events 🏋🏼♀️ • What is everyone’s game plan to get ready and shreddy for summer?
✅How weight loss progress actually looks. ▫️ If you’ve been following me for anytime at all now, you know that I’m not the biggest fan of the scale. I don’t necessarily “hate” the scale, I just don’t like it as the only way to track progress. The reason for this is because when we resistance train, we’re building lean muscle tissue to burn more body fat. This throws off the scale and the person standing on it. This is why I always recommend taking progress photos and getting measurements to track honest and real progress. Pictures don’t lie you know? ▫️ But as far as making progress on the scale goes, try not to let yourself get so caught up in the number. There will be days and weeks where that number doesn’t change at all or maybe even that number goes up! That doesn’t mean things are moving in the wrong direction, it may just mean you drank more water that day or maybe you ate a little later than usual and that food is still in your stomach. Or 100 other factors. ▫️ Getting wrapped up in the number on the scale can really throw people off and even convince people that they’re not making any progress when in reality, they may very well be making awesome progress! ▫️ So my hope is that you judge your progress from other factors as well, not just the scale. Factors such as: ▫️ 🔸How your clothes fit 🔸How you feel 🔸How your progress photos look 🔸What the tape measure says ▫️ Weight loss progress isn’t always going to be fast and direct. It will be more like down up down down up up down up down. So don’t let that number freak you out too much and please lord baby Jesus don’t let it be the reason you quit all together. First measure with the other ideas I gave you and than assess what you’re doing and what may need to change.
