Today I talked with my virtual team about the connection between fun and success. 🤪💪🏻 In order for me to do the amazing things I’m dreaming BIG about, I have to have fun. Or else I not only lose interest, I lose confidence. “Fun” and “play” as I go through, and take on, challenging seasons is necessary for me, especially as a chronic over-thinker and self-doubter, AND a true 5 year old. 🤪 Same goes for my workouts. I have to have fun in order to stick to my goals. Obviously, not every workout is fun—-sometimes, you just gotta show up. But, for the most part, approaching workouts as MOVEMENT, and approaching MOVEMENT like kiddos do, full of curiosity, experimentation, and creativity, takes a whole lotta pressure off working out being a means to an end. kiddos (🙋🏼♀️like myself) NEED movement for their health and development—adults are no different. Do you feel fulfilled? - It's easy to become complacent in life. We get caught up in our everyday routine, most of which being the rat race. Wake up, go to work, with little time for yourself. A lot of us in fact live for the weekends. - Does this sound like you? I get it. I've been there. - 1st thing.. you're not alone. Most of us still feel unfulfilled, but it's about ALWAYS seeking your fulfillment. - What are your passions? What makes you happy? Do you have faith? Where do you want your destination to be? What's your motivation? - It's about actively thinking these things, and putting action into your thoughts. Otherwise, it is easy to become complacent. You will never think these proactive thoughts, and you will stay stagnent in the situation you're in. Feeling unhappy, and wondering is this really what life will be? - We are not trees. We aren't stuck. If you want to get out of your situation .... MOVE. - Time isn't on your side, but your energy that you put in is. Make it worth it. Don't take this life for granted. 🤗❤.

Confession: Holding the bar over my head and through the window really really freaks me out, like a lot. I have a double jointed elbow on the left side from breaking it cheerleading many years ago. I’ve hyperextended it many times, but I also had no strength back then either. I never thought I would be brave enough to even try this, let alone KEEP wanting to push myself more. This year I’m really challenging myself on my strength, both mentally and physically, starting with the things that I thought I couldn’t do. I’ve changed “I can’t” into “I can, it may be hard but I’ll work harder for it”. Mindset and perspective is everything. There’s SO much I doubt myself on each day, but I’m working on that. Photos are your best tool!! I wish I had taken more photos when i started my fitness journey. Today I was thinking to my self have I actually came that far? I was having a day where you just don’t feel like you see it, so I scrolled through my camera roll to do a little comparison, and I was shocked when I put these pictures side by side! The gains are amazing and I should be proud of my self. And you should be proud of your self too! ⭐️💘 Keep smashing it and living a healthy life, because it does pay off!
