Here’s something. I received these Moon Clogs from my Swedish (Svenska) cousin visiting her American relatives for the first time in 1971. I wore them as a toddler because I could find no alternative. And to get out ahead of the Elton John look as much as possible. After I grew out of them (in about a week), my little brother Timmy kicked around in them for a while. My mom found them a couple years ago and now I’ve got ‘em back. I think I’ll put them on my Mrs. Beasley doll and create a real think-piece. #moonclogs#sverige🇸🇪 #eltonjohn#mrsbeasley#glitter#glam#rock
#flashbackfriday#fbf This one is from a long time ago and the show didn't survive long in reruns. With no clues, just these two pictures ~ without Google search ~ can you: 1) Name the show? "Family Affair" ran from 1966 through 1971 on CBS. Though it was still a ratings giant, #cbs pulled it from the schedule along with other family oriented programs to replace it with edgier, sexy, and violent shows. (@shalhoubkaren is correct!) #familyaffair 2) Name the actor? Sebastian Cabot played the butler. (@shalhoubkaren is correct!) Does anyone know his Disney connection? #sebastiancabot 3) Name the character he is playing? Mr. Giles French. (@lamico91 had the correct answer) #gilesfrench#mrfrench and, for #extracredit, 4) Name the four other major characters? Uncle Bill took in his brother's orphaned children - his nieces, Cissy and Buffy, and his nephew, Jody. (@heidihoswat81 had the correct answer) Does anyone remember Buffy's doll's name that went on to become a big seller for #mattel? #mrsbeasley was the optically-correct doll that children bought up to love at home. (@heidihoswat81 cruised in with the correct answer) And can you name Brian Keith's (Uncle Bill) Disney connection? (@lamico91 did - "Parent Trap") Johnny Whitaker (Jody) also has Disney connections - do you know one?
Original Christmas gift from my parents this year! An authentic Mrs Beasley doll, made popular by the 70’s TV show Family Affair. I had one as a child but she burned in a fire many years ago. She even talks just like the original! #mrsbeasley#familyaffair#christmas#collectables#doll
Christmas in the Stewart House circa 1974. Christmas was epic in our house growing up, and as an adult I so appreciate what my parents did to make Christmas so special. But as I look through old pics, I realize this season is about family and friends and just loving on them. This is the first Christmas without my dad. Life is short. Love ur people! Love ur tribe. I Love y’all ! Merry Christmas! 🎁🎄 #merrychristmas#mrsbeasley I still have her! #oldpics#memories#yesthatsme
