💢The|Duffer|Brothers💢 • Pic: Stranger Things • I had been waiting a very long time for someone to recapture the best directors and movies growing up, then the Duffers came along with their sci-fi horror TV show „Stranger Things“. • Set in the 80s, about four boys starting out playing D&D and then getting trapped in a nightmare they want to wake up from. • It accumulates „Steven Spielberg“, „Steven King“ and „John Carpenter“ into one hell of a series with other little nuances and easter eggs for geeks to discover and break apart. Altogether it encapsulates nearly forty years of moviemaking, which is really rare to attempt. You can really notice the passion of the Duffers behind this project and their love for movies. • It also proves that the independent movement is becoming high quality in production value and execution, which others will take an example from and follow it. It also shows precisely the tropes of the last decades that worked well and are not only nostalgic but really capture the audience. • After so many prequels and sequels to shows and movies that had already been created a long time ago and just rehashing what has already been done before, the makers of the show strive away and create something original. • #amateur#storyteller#writer#influences#passion#tvshows#netflix#strangerthings#dufferbrothers#stevenspielberg#stevenking#johncarpenter#scifi#horror#bestseries#nostalgia#80s#90s#growingup#independantmovie#movement#justdoit#moviebuff
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is a 2018 adventure drama film directed by David Yates. It stars Eddie Redmayne, Johnny Depp and Jude Law. Set some time after the first, the film follows Newt on a mission to defeat the evil wizard Grindelwald who is at large once again. Yet another mediocre disappointment that does not do the Wizarding World universe any favors. I shudder at the sheer thought of this awfully mediocre, uninteresting and mediocre franchise get stretched into three more films. I won’t rush to see the next one, if at all despite the constant attempts to leave us with cliffhangers after a lengthy exercise in boredom. Disappointing yet again, and Rowling’s reputation must hang in the balance after this. ***POSITIVES*** . LAW AND DEPP: These are two grade A actors who, in my opinion, bring much needed star power and prestige to the franchise. That being said, their charisma was undeniable. Jude Law was a great, and very accurate version of young Dumbledore, and Johnny Depp brings much needed stakes and menace to the villainous Grindelwald. It’s such a shame they’re only in it for a combined 10 minutes of screentime. . ***NEGATIVES*** . SCRIPT: This time it is so much more unfocused and incredibly awkwardly written. The jokes barely work and the exposition was painful. In fact, Rowling had introduced so many subplots I genuinely had no clue what was going on the whole movie. This is a horrible and painfully mediocre script from an author who should just stick to writing books at this point. . PACING: There is no sense of pacing whatsoever, and that should’ve improved from the first film at the very least. Nonetheless, it was so awkardly paced once again with little to no care for the audience. . PLOT: There are so, so many things happening in this film all at once. This franchise, two movies in, has already been stretched so thin. You know what’s going to happen, and you don’t even bother to care about the new characters or
📽Fifty Shades Freed (2018) is an erotic-romantic movie directed by James Foley based on a trilogy of novels by E.L James. Starring : Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, Kim Basinger, Rita Ora. 🎞 The story is about Anna and Christian’s marriage and her pregnancy while being stalked by her former boss. 🗣 Dear lord what a horrible mess! I mean I didn’t have high expectations after the last two but I hate watched them for some “so bad It might be good” kind of comedy but it was even devoid of that! Ok so i’ll focus on the good : some of the songs I heard was nice and Danny Elfman can do no wrong with his movie scores and I liked a few locations! The rest I hated pretty much. Dornan is so wasted in this movie he just delivers his lines and leaves. Dakota Johnson continues her streak of bad performances in this trilogy and the rest are laughable and even boring! The thrills and the excitement are so cliche, anticlimatic and totally predictable. dialogues are laughably bad and the worst offender is the characters progression and let’s not forget it’s a total knockoff of twilight series in a cheaper way. (Hard thing to accomplish) Last but not least is the fact that this trilogy was marketed for being erotic and sexy and steamy, and it’s not even close to delivering any of that! What an insult to BDSM and Film Community! Already one of my top contenders of worst movies of 2018 and one of the worst trilogies ever! ZERO STARS ⭐️! What did u think?
