🎬Now Watching🎬 Brilliant, beautiful and sad. We absolutely love it! This is what animated films can and should be. Filled with heart, suspense and just a little fantasy. Japan is miles ahead of America. They embrace this medium as just another way of filmmaking. America will always see the animated film as being for kids. For us it's always "subbed never dubbed".

Lost Highway - 1997 - Often regarded as Lynch’s return to form after a long period consisting solely of Twin Peaks content. I must admit, I become shamelessly excited whenever watching a new David Lynch film. He’s the filmmaker that showed me that you don’t need to adhere to a firm plot, structure, or formula to create a rewarding cinematic experience. Hence, David Lynch’s films have turned out to be some the most enlightening experiences in cinema for me, personally. This is one of those films that I wanted to rewatch immediately after it was over. I’m going to rewatch this one in the next month to see what else I can pickup on. Each Lynch movie is a rewarding puzzle that never gives the same experience twice. Good performances all around, and I’m a sucker for Patricia Arquette, so it was a delight to see her collaborate with Lynch. Some of the most effective and unsettling individual scenes that I’ve seen in a while. To me, Lynch doesn’t make movies, he truly creates “moving pictures”. There really is no filmmaker that gives you an experience quite like Mr. Lynch. Fans of surrealism, and film nerds, you know the drill, it’s a must watch; but casual movie fans that only enjoy digestible plot and narrative structure should avoid this one like the plague. . . . . . #lynch#davidlynch#losthighway#surrealism#art#cinema#cinematography#music#vision#film#patriciaarquette#billpullman#instamovies#hollywood#films#moviebuff#saxophone#visualart#filmisnotdead#moviescenes#scary#creepy#twinpeaks

Elvis Presley performs in Jailhouse Rock. 1957. Presley began by performing "rockabilly," an up-tempo fusion of country music and rhythm and blues. By mixing "black" and "white" sounds, his style and dance moves made him a popular -- and controversial -- figure. "I just fell into it, really," he once said about his career. "My daddy and I were laughing about it the other day. He looked at me and said, 'What happened, El? The last thing I remember is I was working in a can factory and you were driving a truck.' We all feel the same way about it. Still, it just caught us up."
Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh in A Streetcar Named Desire. 1951. Fitted t-shirts couldn't be bought at the time, so Brando's apparel had to be washed several times and then the back stitched up to appear tightly over the actor's chest.
