Motivation Monday After a successful film shoot with my “White Castle” film team and an additional dance video shoot for a client of mine, I finally decided to take a breather and reflect in New Orleans. Shout out to my godfather, Tony T the chef for hosting my visit and I shall return refreshed and energized! Hope you all have a productive week and Thanksgiving and remember that when obstacles come to knock you down, always find a way to get up, dust yourself off and LIVE!
The power of #change 💭 Life is always changing wether we want it to or not. The cells in our bodies ✨ are constantly being renewed EVERY second. So you have always have two options. You can fight the change, hold onto the past, and people who do not serve you anymore. Or you can choose to flow with life, and move with the amazing changes that are always going on. You have that power of choice right now. Much love everyone, have a great week. I’ll be posting my full videos on my YouTube channel @Spiritualinvestor, so if you get the chance please subscribe & leave a comment 🙏🌟. You’ll make my day!
I get questions from some people asking why I make my female clients do chest workouts when their chest is predominantly made up of fat tissue. This is true, but underneath the fat tissue, women still have pectoral muscles. When you strengthen your pectoral muscles overtime, this will affect the shape of the breast while also giving it a lifted appearance. That’s why I have my female clients perform chest exercises. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Do you tend to take things personally?? I know for me, I struggled with internalizing others opinions of me and reacting very negatively to it for a long time. The thing is when we take stuff personally we are giving others more power over us than they should ever be allowed to have. They begin to push their opinions unto you to try and recreate your truth from their perspective and beliefs; which, for the most part, has nothing to do with you. When you take another individuals word to heart you, are in a sense, trusting someone else to tell you who you are, instead of relying on what you know to be true about yourself. Instead of just reacting when someone pushes your buttons or you feel your integrity is being challenged here are a few tips to simmer you down and protect your energy: 1. Stop giving your power away!-take a few full deep breaths, tell yourself that you will not give anyone the power to make you unhappy & take control of what you’re thinking and choose to think about positive things about yourself or reminding yourself of what your truth is. 2. Become to busy to care- when you are wasting your precious energy and time on gossip and opinions about yourself you have too much time. Start a new creative project, change the dynamic of the conversation to the positives about you, or just realize you have way too many important things to ponder about than others opinions. 3. Understand it has nothing to do with you! “What they say, what they do, and the opinions they give are according to the agreements they have in their own minds…Taking things personally makes you easy prey for these predators, the black magicians. They can hook you easily with one little opinion and feed you whatever poison they want, and because you take it personally, you eat it up….”-The 4 Agreements @donmiguelruiz #jasminmercedes#thejaseffect#twinmom#positivevibes#motherhoodrising#selfcare#selflove#selfdevelopment#mommyblogger#motivationmonday
You, yes YOU, are standing on the edge of something great. What are your goals in life? Your BIG goals, your dreams? How are you making them come true? What steps are you taking? Look, it takes work. You have to start taking steps in the direction of your dreams every. single. day. They don't have to be leaps or even large steps, but just start taking those steps - as small as they may be. That's how you move forward. Start where you are, then keep going. Keep on moving forward. The world needs you.
Over the past week, I’ve been thinking a lot about my cousin who passed away a few years ago, my grandmother and about the heartbreaking loss of Kim Porter. I was reminded of just how important it is to cherish your experiences and your loved ones. Yesterday I forgot my swimsuit - which is not a biggie in the grand scheme of life - but I wanted to enjoy the moment anyway, so I got in the water with my underwear. After a beautiful and empowering weekend of teaching @sairahospitality students about the power of self-love & transformation, I want to always be an embodiment of that. Living and enjoying the moment. Loving and soaking in my experiences. Doing what makes me smile. Thanking God for myself and others. Because life is precious. So, so precious. And we so often take it for granted. Please remember to stop and just appreciate what you have today. Lots of love. 🐛🦋✨❤️
