Tip # 3: WORKOUT AT HOME If you have a bit of open space, that’s all you need. Roll up a carpet, move an ottoman, whatever it takes to give yourself a small area to move it. This is great for two reason:  1. It provides a judgment free zone. Alot of people are intimidated by the gym. They feel inadequate, or like they are being judged. Or they are overwhelmed when they walk in and have no idea to what to. Working out at home makes you feel comfortable and safe.  2. It saves time. You can wake up in the morning and be ready to work out. Or go straight home from work and workout without any pitstops. Saves you from changing, getting in your car, driving to the gym, then doing the same to come home. Without the travel time and traffic your workout routine will be much shorter.  Today’s tip ties into yesterday’s tip of have a workout routine. The mind and body are connected as one…obviously. The brain ultimately is what you are however, the body is just a vessel you’re controlling…trippy I know.⠀ ⠀ The brain pretty much controls everything from movement, hormone regulation, and of course cognitive ability. The thing is, if you are feeling stressed, depressed, worried etc, this will have a knock on effect on your body. Negative thought processes, lead to a negative impact on the body. There are many studies out there looking at the impact of mental stress on the body, news flash….it’s pretty bad.⠀ ⠀ Depression also leads to lethargy which leads to you not going to the gym, eating ‘bad foods’ and LOOSING YOUR GAINS.⠀ ⠀ Interestingly it has been found that how stressed you think you are can have more of an negative impact on your body, compared to how stressed you actually are… now that sounds like a bad thing…which it is. But if you look at the positives, these findings are telling us that we can train our mind to better its way of thinking, to make us feel less stressed, thus negating actual impacts of stress itself….MIND BLOWN.⠀ ⠀ You have to put time aside to focus on your mental health, whether that’s 5 minutes of meditation a day, visualizing positive thoughts, breathing techniques, and so on. There are plenty of techniques you can use to better your mental health, do a quick google search and see what works for you. ⠀ ⠀ You don’t have to take ages every day doing this, trust me when I say you are probably your own worst enemy. Day 8: This massive glass of creamy cold coffee makes me so full that I can’t eat till the afternoon. I added less stevia today since I wanted to eat this divine almond flour chocolate chip muffin from @bombay_bizare_baker. What an amazing start to the day! ☕️🥛🧁🍫 Weight was 200 gms lesser today. That’s a total of 3.1 kgs in a week with 2 nights of alcohol, minimal berries and no diet cokes too.
