The @storywines is located in the outer southern suburbs of Melbourne. It is here they receive grapes from some fabulous vineyards, most often in the Grampians or Henty, and turn them into wine. Each vintage there is a new story to tell, and each year the label changes to reflect that story. Small budgets, small vineyards, engaging subjects. The story have a simple hands-off winemaking approach. Many of the wines have no additions other than sulphur dioxide, and for the reds, they are usually bottled without any fining or filtration. Behind the bar at #manylittle we stock two cracking wines from this producer the 2017 Riesling and the 2017 Grenache . 2017 Riesling Talc, ripe lime, orange blossom, tonic water, alpine herbs and pine needles are all there. Intense and delicious. 2017 Grenache Plenty of ripeness, while retaining pepper, spice and amazing, delicate perfume. Very little added or taken away. A pure expression of the grape.

Looking for a low carb meal. This beef stroganoff is just what you need 🙌 Low carb beef stroganoff Ingredients 15 oz. ground beef 3 tbsp butter 1 yellow onion 8 oz. mushrooms 1 tbsp dried thyme ½ tsp salt 1 pinch ground black pepper 8 oz. blue cheese 1½ cups sour cream Zucchini fettucine 2 zucchini 1 oz. olive oil or butter Salt and pepper to taste Instructions Peel the onion and chop finely. Melt the butter in a pot on medium heat, and sauté until the onions are softened. Add the ground beef and fry for a few minutes until browned and cooked through. Slice or dice the mushrooms, and add to the ground beef. Sauté for a few minutes more, or until lightly brown. Season with thyme, salt and pepper. Crumble the cheese. Add and stir. Add sour cream and bring to a light boil. Lower the heat to medium-low and let simmer for 10 minutes. Zucchini fettucini Estimate one medium-sized zucchini per person. Split the zucchini in half lengthwise. Scoop the seeds with a spoon and slice the halves very thinly, lengthwise (julienne) with a potato peeler, or use a spiralizer to make zoodles. Toss the zucchini in a hot sauce of your choice and serve immediately. If you aren’t serving your zucchini with a hot sauce then boil half a gallon (a couple of liters) of salted water in a large pot and parboil the zucchini slices for a minute. Drain the water and add olive oil or a knob of butter. Salt and pepper to taste and stir.
Spent today exploring Mornington Peninsula, absolutely in love, possibly the most peaceful place close to Melbourne. Hiked the hills, did mountain biking for the first time (I'd say never again thanks a lot, too stressful), chilled out paddle boarding in a quiet bay and had the most delicious tremendous Buddha bowl at a random vegan cafe. Probably the most tiring adventure I've done, but all the effort was so worth it 🏕️❤️🏝️
