Girls who scrub together stay together! So excited to release my blog soon. Just tweaking the final touches. To me I've got to give myself a pat on the back. Built my own blog, celebrated this monkeys birthday and got my yearly goals on paper. All in one week. #mumoftwo
I was weekday warrior for a long time- which basically means I would rock my nutrition and workouts Monday thru Friday and then on the weekend I felt that I DESERVED to do whatever and eat whatever I wanted! . I mean come on.... I worked really freaking hard and said NO to a lot of things during the week!!! IS THAT YOU? 🙋♀️ . The bad part is that stepping on the scale Monday morning only to be the same weight I was last Monday when I started. I was undoing all my progress. So I got smart & began to treat my weekends like a weekday and that is where I began to see the results happen! My tips for you: 🔹Schedule in your workouts on the weekend just like you do the weekday. If you have a busy Saturday make sure to choose a time to get your sweat in so you don't have to think about it the rest of the day. 🔹Plan your meals. I used to wing our food on the weekends. Now I stick to the same schedule of eating every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I make sure to drink my superfoods 7 days a week, not just 5 days! 🔹If you are going out to dinner, check the menu ahead of time and decide what you are going to eat! 🔹If you are on the go, pack a cooler! My cooler always has carrotss, my superfood shake packet, bottle of water, and a shaker cup, fresh veggies and some hummus to dip, and an apple and almonds. That way I'm never without options and I don't make poor choices because I'm starving. 🔹WANT A COCKTAIL... totally fine! The best choices are a vodka soda water or a spritzer. They are the lowest cal/sugar. I always say 1 glass of alcohol is equivalent to 1 of my carbs for the day so I swap that out! I have 1 full glass of water for each drink and limit to 1 maybe 2. 🔹Do you want dessert or a treat? SURE... I always give myself grace to enjoy what I really want! I typically give myself 1 maybe 2 sweat treats during the week. I track it in my tracker and I count it as a carb. I find that when I'm mindful of my choices, I realize that this is a
Moms, do you ever think “I have nothing left to give”? We give all day, everyday. We care and help our children. Homework, dinner, play, pick up toys, change diapers, look for lost items, wipe booger’s, give baths, defuse tantrums, dry tears..... and are expected to know where everything is in the house 😳🤦🏼♀️. By the end of the day, I’m done. I got nothing left. I’m tired. Mentally, physically and emotionally. This morning I woke up “in a mood”. Yes, I was crabby. What makes me feel better? Exercise. I’m not trying to win a bikini contest or anything, I just feel more “at peace” after working out. Do you need help getting your Feel Good endorphins flowing... let me know! I would love to help you find your inner peace.
