I believe everyone should be able to love whoever they want. Until people can be free of discrimination, oppression and persecution, simply because they love someone of the same gender, pride is still very much needed. Pride is about much more, but I salute whoever you are who’s still in the closet, who’s still fighting for your right to be yourself, who have paved the way for everyone to be themselves. Happy pride ❤️🧡💛💚💙💗 - Thank you @livereadwrite for doing this collab, and doing nearly all the work. You’re too good 🙌🏻

This month I reread Catching Fire and I loved it. I gave it 5 stars ⭐️! - - Catching Fire is the second book in The Hunger Games trilogy which I recently decided to reread. What I enjoyed most about this book is the rising stakes – that moment when President Snow indicates to Katniss she hasn’t done enough to control the rebellion in the districts is so intense. I loved that we got to see what was going on in some of the districts who were rebelling during the Victory Tour. This book is definetley more emotional than the first one, watching Peeta and Katniss try to recover from the games throughout this was heart-breaking and I loved seeing their bond develop. Every time I’ve read the quarter quell announcement and Katniss realises she has to go back into the games I have cried. I do feel bad for Katniss however the whole love triangle with her, Peeta and Gale still frustrates me to this day. However Katniss is still one of my favourite YA characters of all-time. There were lots of new characters introduced in this book including one of my favourites Finnick. I also loved the addition of Johanna – she’s one of the best characters in this book. There were also some gut-wrenching deaths – Mags (I still cry). I really enjoyed seeing Katniss mix with some of the previous victors during the training like Beetee and Wiress. Overall, this is my favourite book in the series. It was so intricately plotted and detailed. My only complaint is I wish there was more of the quarter quell games in this as there was less action in Catching Fire than there was in The Hunger Games but the cliff-hanger is probably one of my favourites that I’ve ever read.

Who else is excited for the Untitled Hunger Games Prequel? ✌️ (Why is there no three finger emoji?!) I definitely want to read the original series before the prequel comes out and bought the gorgeous new 10th anniversary editions. My original ones were rather ugly cheap paperbacks. I love the new cover designs! 🖤
