Still living the "ice covered everything" life. When I opened my car door this morning a piece of ice fell onto my seat, but I didn't realize it until too late 🙄😱 that was definitely a cold, unwelcome surprise 😂 . . . It is beautiful though! Just look at the patterns in this "ice leaf"!!! #hammockmomma
Hayti Missouri Pemiscot County A town at the junction of the Frisco and Kennett to Caruthersville Railroad. The town was established in 1894 at the time of the building of the railroads, although a settlement had been made there earlier. The school district was established in 1875. When a post office was applied for in 1896, the name Gayoso City was suggested, but rejected because of the similarity to Gayoso, so the name was coined from the name of Dr. G. Hayes, who owned land there, and the syllable "ti." Louis Houck, who helped lay out the town says, "The name is from the family name of Dr. Hayes and the word "ti" or "tie" which refers to the high ridge which ties this place to Caruthersville.
📷 Cape Fair (Missouri) Christian Church⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✞⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Because of its Ozark location, this somewhat secluded Restoration Movement Christian Church serves visitors from all across the country who vacation in the Branson area. The church building was constructed in the mid-1960s, and a few original members are still in attendance. As the story goes, the church came about when folks couldn’t get into Crane to attend church when the Flat Creek Bridge washed out. The church’s setting atop a high hill affords a beautiful view of the Ozark mountains, but as one church member says, it’s almost “impossible to get there in the winter when it snows!”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ❄️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For folks who know the Ozarks, you won’t be surprised to hear that the church is known for musical services and special events, often featuring bluegrass and country music. The church motto is: Good Music, Great People, Amazing Grace.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🎸⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The local minister, Preacher Phil, says the Restoration Movement started around 1800 in the Kentucky/Indiana area. He describes it as “a back-to-the-Bible movement where the church attempted to restore the appearance of the church in the book of Acts."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📖⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The two churches associated with the movement are the Christian Church and the Church of Christ. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #greatcommision#christianliving#christianlife#christianchurch#christianchurches#disciplesofchrist#churchesofchrist#churchofchrist#christiancommunity#congregation#churchphotography#churchesofinstagram#placeofworship#countrychurch#whitechurch#churchlovers#bluegrassmusic#littlewhitechurch#visitmissouri#missouri_photos
