Good morning everyone! Since it has been literally half a year I haven’t shown my face around here, I thought a little intro could be appropriate👋🏽 A few fun facts about my company Acétate La Boite & myself: I decided to start this business about 2 years ago. In my first trimester I had 2 clients -no jokes- because I was still in school learning all the inside and out of graphic design🤓There, I learned a big part of what I know now about production, printing, softwares, design tools and creative process. So it’s really only after this that I began honing my own visual & aesthetic perspective in a critical way. In my previous life, I studied physical education while being a track & field athlete🏃🏽♀️,then I switched my aim to sports marketing to finally get a job as a brand and communication specialist in the sport industry. Usually I spend a million hours a day in the studio but when I do step outside there’s a good chance you’ll find me doing one of those things: running or hiking a trail, having a coffee & croissant at the coffee joint next door, taking a day trip in search of some views and fresh air🌴, sipping gin & tonic while listening to Fleetwood Mac, Drake or Sade. Wanna tell me something about you? 📸 by my lovely friend @pamkriangkum
ad - time for fika. You can’t eat a pavlova without making a mess do I dressed it up a bit with some Art Deco elegance from @georgjensen. ———————————— What I love about my job is learning the design history of the pieces I style. The Bernadotte collection for @georgjensen is rich with history and royalty too. Which made styling it feel extra special. Also Georg Jensen have launched a competition to win the Bernadotte coffee and tea set. I’ve added the information on my blog post (link via bio, t+c’s on Georg Jensen site, competition ends 15th July 2019)

With the rising popularity of hair accessories it seems only fair that headbands should also make a return. We’ve found ourselves reaching one for one to add to any wedding or event look. What are your thoughts? Image by @carolapojer
Being busy with shooting for clients I can sometimes forget to shoot simply because I want to and it’s purely for me. I used to create a lot of abstract imagery with a huge focus on lights and shadows and it was the route I went down back in uni. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I think I was hoping that my fine art type imagery would end up in galleries and I’d get paid a lot of money to do it. Quick reality check hit me like a ton of bricks and I realised that although some people make it, I didn’t think it was for me🤷🏼♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So I decided to take a break from photography after my degree, I was so tired of consent deadlines and trying to give all of my work a deep meaning. Few years and jobs later and here I am- working for myself and creating imagery for some amazing brands! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I always find it so interesting to see how people got to the point they’re at now, what did they have to go through, what were their highs and their lows. Would love to hear anyone’s stories of their own experiences and how they ended up doing what they’re doing🙃
