I’ve mentioned this before, but every day when clients leave my gym I always yell out “MAKE GOOD CHOICES!” It’s kinda funny…but I kinda really mean it. Yesterday at church, our pastor’s message included something very similar, which is the quote you see above. When you really sit back and think, the majority of the situations we encounter in life are a direct result of the wisdom we use when making decisions, or the lack thereof. Many lessons we simply have to learn on our own. Choose the wrong friends or relationship, and you will be brought down to their level. Chase the new job with more money, without fully vetting the entire situation, and you could be worse off in the long run. Treat your body like a human garbage disposal, thinking it’s ok because you’re young, and you could end up with an uphill battle you never imagined. On the flip side, take all those situations and apply a healthy dose of wisdom, and look what happens. Obviously we won’t always get it right, but far too often we (re)act out of emotion, and we don’t use our rational mind during the decision making process. Even when things seem ok at first glance, it would behoove us to take a step back and make sure we’re taking all things into consideration. Finally, I spoke last week about analyzing who’s in your circle, and surrounding yourself with wise people goes a long way to helping YOU make wise decisions. Make sure you have a couple of people in your life who are moving in the same direction, and will speak life and truth into you not just when wanted, but when needed. What do you do to insure you’re making wise decisions? Who do you seek for counsel? Drop a comment and let me know! You know everyone wants to be the best. While most accept you can't be the best at everything, EVERYONE wants to be #best at something. On this #motivationmonday I want to remind you that there are no shortcuts on the road to greatness or being the best. Regardless of the task, hobby, or job, you must put in the work. In my work-play discipline model, I define work as anything that requires time, energy, and effort. You must invest your time, energy, and effort to get to good. More to get to better. Even more to get to the best. And, once you arrive to your best (wherever or whatever that means to you), you must continue to #work to stay there. ✔Retooling for greater efficiency. ✔Relearning to remain current. ✔Reorganizing to improve. Now, let's go to #work . . . #happymonday#mondaymorning#mondaythoughts#mindsetmonday#mondaymood
The greatest gift that we can give to another human is a FORGIVENESS. I wish I know this powerful practice easier in my life. But due to that… I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’ve heard “I forgive but I never forget” - it’s not an act of forgiving. It’s an act of being a victim. Can you imagine how many emotions people keep inside with this mindset? Today I want to share with you something that I channeled during the meditation and It’s called “The Forgiveness Formula”. This powerful practice is here to help you… finally step out of the past and be NOW. It’s your time to get rid of the emotional stones that you don’t need. It’s your time to finally get unstuck and understand what was holding your emotions back. It’s your moment to build beautiful & strong relationships. It’s your moment to shine. I've been a bit MIA lately, I've been amazing weekend with my long distance boyfriend, and I tend to unplug what I'm with him because our time is so valuable. . I got home last night at 3:00 in the morning... And I had to be up by 6:30 to get my booty to work. And it's Monday... But, there is no reason why I can't have a kick ass day. So I've got me the nectar of the gods AKA coffee and I've got myself a smile because I just saw my man all weekend And I'm going to kick this Monday's ass. . May you find as much happiness in today as I found and building this little cat out of sand on the beach. Happy Monday loves. . . . . . #beachday#monday#goodvibesonly#goodvibes#goodmorning#mindsetmonday#sandcastle#sandcat#werkendgetaway#happinessisachoice#goodday
#mindsetmonday - You’re the person you spend the most time with daily, so how you treat yourself matters. But it’s also believed that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with, meaning who you attract matters. - If you surround yourself with people who want greatness in their own lives, then they’ll be more likely to challenge you to pursue greatness in your own. They’ll be able to encourage you to be the best and truest version of yourself, and they’ll be able to consistently inspire and push you to keep leveling up through their own example. They’ll also be able to help you realize your own worth and value because chances are they believe in their own. - Energies are contagious, and your vibe attracts your tribe. Are you surrounding yourself with the people who inspire, encourage, and motivate you to be the best version of yourself? If your answer is no, then maybe it’s time to audit your circle. If your answer is a resounding yes, then hang on to them tight because they’re the keepers you need more of. - 📸: @michaelcwellsphotography #4bstrong#4bfamily#strengthincommunity#workhardstayhumble#crossfit#leanx#4bfit#fitnessmotivation#healthylifestyle#selftalk#motivation

So even though I have been out of the gym for over a month I have been focusing on my food, mostly my food portions. Anyone who knows me knows I can eat a entire large pizza and still eat after 🤷🏼♀️ which I haven’t done in many years 😂 but even though I eat a really clean diet most of the time I often eat WAY to much! I have started tracking how much I eat and once I did that and noticed how many calories I was actually eating I was shocked! I slowly started making my portions smaller and noticed huge results. I am down 10 lbs and my gut is feeling so much better. So just be aware if you have a weight loss goal and you haven’t tracked how much you are actually eating I would recommend for just one week you don’t change anything and track! Many people underestimate or overestimate how much they are consuming. As for lifting, since It has been awhile since I have lifted I am starting slow at home with my equipment. It is hard not to just go back to what I was lifting before and push myself. But I know that will only get me so sore that I won’t be able to work out for a week. So if you have taken a break from the gym start slow and don’t just try to go back to the same routine you did before.
👊Success attracts success.👊 That is important when it comes to your fitness goals. Everything sets these huge goals and then feels shitty when they don't hit them. - Instead set tincy-tiny goals. Something that you know you can achieve. The build tiny building blocks on top of it week after week. These little success's build your confidence and lead to BIG results. - Be patience little grass hopper...you will get there. - - 10 spots left for our inspirational Bliss Fitness Bootcamps! Staying focused on your performance all day 100% of the time is hard, nearly impossible. When you feel your focus drifting, take a #mentalminute to 1️⃣ reflect on what you are grateful for. 2️⃣ write them down. 3️⃣ reprioritize and 4️⃣ do something to enjoy to give your mind a break. Then, go crush that prioritization list ! 💪🏼 • • #mindsetmonday#mondaymotivation#fightburnout#begrateful#gophillies
MINDSET MONDAY Let’s talk about mental health and the affect of setting goals! -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. Approximately 1 in 6 people report experiencing anxiety and depression in any given week. This is huge and something that is being addressed (thankfully) more and more in the media... but the problem still continues. -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Setting realistic goals when you’re going through a rough time can be monumental in that shift in mindset - giving hope and focus in an otherwise confusing and difficult time. For me, pre-‘30 Before 30’ I suffered pretty heavily with my own anxiety and depression battle and, if it’s not something you’ve experienced, it can really feel like this constant downward spiral with no respite. -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I thought wildly about my list and kept an ambitious mindset when writing it. I thought about all the things I’ve said I wanted to do but never started doing. I let my mind wander to travel experiences I though would be cool as shit and a couple on there that have always scared me but that I needed that extra push to make it a reality (like competing in a boxing match 😅🤢). -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The list is not only a bit of fun but it’s given me a new clarity and purpose. Instead of spending days/hours off binge-watching TV or feeling sorry for myself, I might squeeze in a half an hour French lesson on my app or work on some new business ideas. (Although don’t get me wrong we all need our downtime.) I feel like I’m not wasting time any more, I feel like I’m making every day productive and a step in a more positive direction. I feel like every day I’m developing myself and for every tick I have something new to feel proud of achieving. -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, if
I’m a MF bada$$ That’s right. I said it. Anyone else think it’s dumb that it’s more socially acceptable to talk about our flaws rather than walk around saying “I’m fuggin awesome.” ??! I know some people are rolling their eyes right about now 👀. Like who says this? Well I do!! And you should too! 😝 Stop beating yourself up. Stop being so hard on yourself. You’re doing your best. You’re perfect the way you are. Say “I’m a MF bada$$” every GD day! But saying it will only get you so far, you have to believe it, babe! And no one can make you believe it but you. Now... 🌟 say it 🌟 🌟 believe it 🌟 🌟 and go slay Monday 🌟

#mindsetmonday - Yep, I was eating a plum.. - Anyways here’s my tip to you this Monday👏🏼 - ❌NEVER SAY NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF - Most of us won’t go upto another person atleast right on their face and criticize them yet we’ve got no problem on criticizing ourselves. - Things like: “ I’m so unattractive” “ I’m so lazy” “ I’m so undisciplined” - If you keep saying those stuff to yourself so often, you will start believing it THEN you will start acting that way and then next thing you know that will be YOUR identity. - Do yourself a favour and stop that ✋🏻 - It’s all about the awareness: If your mind is filled with negative stuff and negative thinking.. catch yourself doing it and when you catch yourself doing it tell yourself to STOP and NOT to think so negative with everything you do.
#mindsetmonday . Champions don’t blame the tools they’ve been given. Champions sharpen them.” Abraham Lincoln once wrote that if he had six hours to cut down a tree, he would spend the first four sharpening the axe. It doesn’t matter where you started, or even where you’ve been. All that matters is two questions. Where do you want to go, and how hard are you willing to work to get there. We have what we need. Everyone does. The separation comes down to who is willing to do the work. Never whine. Never complain. Never make excuses. . . . . #mindsetmonday#mindset#crossfit#yoga#lifestyle#clinic#physio#chiro#massage#naturopathy#spin#fitness#keswick#georgina
#repost @ryanlebreton Starting something new with my Instagram feed. I want to give more, educate people, and help with fitness, training, mindset. We will see how it goes! #001 DOUBT Doubting yourself is a barrier to achieve what you want out of life. Here are some ways you can avoid doubt and have a positive impact on the choices you make: ASSESS YOURSELF Identify if you REALLY doubt yourself. Does doubt have a power over you which is restricting your potential and your decision making, even to just get started? @jayalderton says you never learn anything from a perfect week. Failures and mistakes are how you learn and grow. CHALLENGES ARE A PART OF THE JOURNEY Embrace challenges, embrace problems. Life is just a continuous journey of problem solving. Everyone encounters them. Tackle these with a positive mindset and use each situation as experience for the future. IF THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY A bit cliché. There shouldn’t be excuses if you are serious about achieving your goals. There is always a solution. Use others if they have expertise, source information from mentors, books, social media. Self doubt = an endless list of excuses. FAKE IT UNTIL YOU BECOME IT Confidence is key. Focus on small wins to build confidence, and claim you will be a success and your actions will follow. CHALLENGE YOURSELF Get out of your comfort zone, do things that make you feel uncomfortable. They will soon feel natural and less of a challenge. Seek new challenges, use them to learn and grow. Work on yourself and your own personal development. Hope this is insightful, I’ll be looking to add more as often as possible! #mondaymotivation#mindset#mindsetmonday#monday
🤯Monday Mind dump 🤯 For whatever reason, we all seem to think the most complicated route is the correct route. - If the journey’s too smooth, we assume there’s a better, quicker back road to take. Yes, it’s bumpy, narrow and borderline drivable at times, but it must be the best way. Right? - Why do we think this? Why do we gravitate to thinking the most difficult option is the best option? I have no idea. I guess it’s possibly because we believe if somethings too good to be true, then it most likely is. - We have the same thought when it comes to training and nutrition. - You want to lose weight? Just be in a consistent calorie deficit. However most will believe that no carbs, fasted cardio and 2 insanity workouts a day must be the answer (remember Insanity? do people still do it?! If so then I feel for their joints 🙈) - Fat loss isn’t easy, but it is simple. If you be a bit more mindful when it comes to your diet and do some form of regular physical activity, you will see results. Guaranteed! - Stop overcomplicated simple things, all you’re going to do is set yourself up for failure. . . -Darren
