I came home...didnt feel motivated AT ALL ...ate some Doritos (Something i hardly ever do) and watched Netflix. . . Me: man I'm chillin...dont bug me !! . . 🧠: Ok...im just saying you didn't come all this way...made all this progress just to go back to sitting on your ass....remember "Tennis Elbow".."Sciatic Nerve pain"...those 2 guys? . . Over the last couple weeks my anxiety has been super high and some of the things that I’m dealing with right now a year ago I wouldn’t of been able to handle this. A year ago I would have sunk into myself and not really takin care of me spiraling out of control. I would have fallen into emotional eating and allowed myself to eat all the things. This time though I’m doing the things I need to do to take care of me. I’m slowing down, making sure that I’m taking care of me first. Along the way I’ve had a non-scale victory; Today was day 76 of my current workout program and it is my least favorite of the entire program. It’s called cardio flow. You were supposed to do 10 rounds of the 10 moves. Today, I did it faster and did 12 Rounds. And even a scale victory losing a few more lbs when my eating hasn’t been the best because I haven’t been eating enough. So while these last couple of weeks haven’t been the best for me with anxiety I’m taking it one day at a time and I’m doing ok!
Yesterday it happened to me & today it could happen to YOU; but it’s how we bounce back that matters! I have touched on this a little before- working from home can suck! (Not all the time, but for those playing along at home- you know what I mean!) I woke up with all intentions to have a ‘kick-arse’ day. I had signed up for a 3hr webinar that I was suppeerrr pumped about! After the webinar, I literally sat there blank! I felt like I didn’t learn a damn thing! (Which is fine, but my expectations were way too high!)🤦🏽♀️ For the rest of the day I felt the self talk kick in & she goes a little like this: • That was a waste of time! • What did you expect to get out of it? • Why are you even doing this? • You say this is your ‘Purpose’, but is it? • Do you really think people are going to hire you? ....& the list goes on!🙄 Some recent events have entirely crushed my self esteem & my motivation! BUT, it is how I bounce back that really matters! Same goes for you gf! EVERY single person on this earth has insecure & crappy days (even Beyoncé 🧐) but it’s how we get up & move forward that is super important! Respect yourself enough to be kind to yourself, go for a walk, talk to a friend.. whatever it may be! So, for whoever needs this today; you are not alone & I see you! I get you gurl! Keep hustling ‘ building dreams. But please remember that if you do not have your health, you can not gain wealth 💕
Raise your hand if you’ve let the fear of what other people think hold you back?! 🙋🏼♀️ that is one of my biggest fears and the thing that holds me back the most: being judged by those around me for doing something I love. But just like working out, your mindset is like a muscle that needs to be strengthened every single day. So each day I work hard at overcoming that fear of being judged so I can continue to live a life of purpose for ME. It isn’t always easy, but here are a few gut checks you can do to make sure you’re living your life for YOU: 1. You have to stop judging others first. Get that negative energy out of here. On social media and have the urge? Unfollow. It’s just a simple click! 2. Create that circle of trust with some badass women who have similar goals and always focus on that community over competition. Cheer each other on and lift each other up! 3. Find a great audio book and fill yourself full of it on your commute to and from work. You’ll feel like a badass all day long and not worry what others think. 4. Talk to yourself in a positive way. Say things like, “I can” or “I am”. Your self talk is so powerful. 5. Remember that there’s probably always going to be someone who judges you. But they don’t live your life, pay your bills, or are in charge of your happiness. Only you are. So follow your heart in what feels right for you.
All transformation starts within, the desire to be, do, or have something different. I’m sitting here reflecting on past vacations and smiling not because of where I am, but because of the transformation, I overcame to be who I am today. Fitness had been a means to an end, a way to manipulate and control my body, especially when it came to vacations. I’d “diet” down for an upcoming vacation, you know, gotta lose those extra pounds, and the closer vacation got, the harder and more extreme my dieting got just to “reach my goal” then it’d be “safe” to eat again. As soon as I’d get to my destination, I was starving and went HAM on food and alcohol. And…I’m sure you guessed it! I gained it all back and was right back to where I started but didn’t have a vacation goal anymore, the yo-yo dieting cycle resumed. Who can relate? I hated playing the “carrot and stick” game and something needed to change. I chose to started with how I approached Fitness. Fitness has become a lifestyle, a way of living, and “dieting,” a thing of the past. When you live a healthy and balanced lifestyle, there is no need to take drastic measures to achieve such outlandish goals such as extreme weight loss. How you live day in and day out will result in your overall Fitness - mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Here I am, fresh from my workout, me being me. ✌🏻 I am Grateful. I am Loved. I am Worthy. Today, I smile because of what I had to go through to get to where I am today. What’s something you’ve overcome that you too can now look back and smile at?

I try to be cognizant of what I have in my life before searching for more. There were probably 5+ times within the last week where I started to tear up because....life has been good to me. And because I’m an emotional being and whether I’m really really happy or really really sad, I cry. 😬 Point is, I’m healthy and I’m grateful. I can walk on my own two feet and breathe from my lungs effortlessly. I can see clearly and feel deeply. I can balance my head on my shoulders. I can comb my hair. I can wiggle my toes. And, many times, it’s not until those things are gone that we start to really appreciate them.
