It’s so weird to intentionally cook food with milk mixed in. It’s even weirder to hand her a piece of muffin knowing it might cause an allergic reaction, but so far so good! We are about 5 doses in at this point and she looks forward to getting a little treat. I’m interested to see where this journey takes her.
5 little ducks went swimming one day (in #letterkenny). Over the hill and far away (up the Mountain Top). Ingredientes: Óleo 100% vegetal 85 gr geleia de agave ou mel 170 gr flocos aveia grossos sem glúten 200 gr de mistura de vários cereais sem glúten (sementes abóbora, sementes sésamo, sementes linhaça) 40 gr de arroz ou aveia tufado Fruta fresca conforme o gosto e a época Modo de preparação : Aqueça previamente o forno a 180 graus Unte um tabuleiro com o óleo. Verta a geleia de agave para uma tigela média. Aqueça um pouco caso opte pelo mel, se este não estiver completamente líquido . Espalhe a mistura aos pedacinhos no tabuleiro e leve ao forno até ficarem dourados ( 10-15 min), assegurando que não se queimam. Retire do forno, e deixe arrefecer. Misture os estaladiços com os restantes ingredientes secos . Sirva com leite ou iogurte . Acrescente fruta fresca a gosto ( morangos, banana, manga, papaia...). So here is a question that will stir the pot: WHAT DO YOU FEED YOUR KIDS? And why? Lots of popular kids foods are sadly very low in nutrients: Pizza Chicken nuggets French fries Macaroni & cheese Cheerios/cereals Our little chubster eats mostly vegetables. Some fruit and meat. Quinoa, kale, bone broth, broccoli, pomagranate arils, carrots, and kalamata olives are her favorite foods right now. I really appreciate my daughter's pediatrician. Since little A is allergic to milk and we don't feed her processed foods, my pediatrician named off the nutrients that she was concerned about as iron(from fortified cereals) and calcium(from milk). And I was happy to name the foods she was eating that were loaded with the right stuff- chicken livers, spinach, kale, broccoli. Thank goodness she didn't insist that milk is the only way we can get our needed intake of Vitamin D. (Which I have only heard horror stories about) but that is a-whole-nother story. Ask your doctor what nutrients your kids need! So I thought I'd kick start this with a post about my allergy baby. He developed eczema when he was approx 4 months old, he was soley breastfed (until 16 months) he had every cream the doctor could give. Nothing worked?? Until I did some of my own research and suggested a possible milk allergy to the doctor. It took till he was 15 months old to get an official diagnosis at this point I had a list of all the things I suspected he was allergic too. We are now Milk, banana, seseme and nuts free. But I have just got my own suspicions he's allergic to dogs and strawberries too so waiting to get that checked. It's not been easy and I spent many nights laying awake thinking my poor babies blistering face would be like this or scarred forever. But he now has the most beautiful skin😍. Ever since I posted those cookies from yesterday (🤤), I haven’t been able to get the thought of chocolate-chip cookies out of my head. Thankfully it’s almost the weekend now (🎉), so I think I’ll use that as my excuse to bake some up! . If you haven’t tried my homemade chocolate-chip cookies yet, you MUST! Time to vent! I feel like a horrible mom. Over the summer after a horrible stomach bug channing kept complaining of his stomach hurting after every meal. At first I thought it was bc he didnt want to eat, then I did the whole "how much have you drank today? Have you pooped today?" Questions. He had a couple moments during the summer where he would run to the bathroom and feel like or actually throw up. There was no common anything. Then it dawned on me that he could be lactose intolerant so since October of 2018 channing has been doing Lactaid milk but still getting sick. Then he started with keeping cold like symptoms, diarrhea, sneezing and coughing after he ate. He got sick on day this week after eating a Fruit Bar and I couldn't figure it out until I saw the word "Whey" !!!!!! I am pretty sure my kid is allergic to Milk!!!!!! ☕️ Just back from a meeting with the lovely Clare Bristow of @sadiebristowfoundation Clare’s daughter Sadie tragically died of anaphylaxis last year. Through their foundation set up to honour Sadie’s memory they will be working to improve allergy awareness, help set up an allergy clinic in East Kent, and support tennis coaching in local schools. 🎾 Tennis was Sadie’s passion and she was the U.K. 9U girls champion. 👶 We will be working together to set up a playgroup for parents of children with food allergies. It will be a safe environment so that mums can relax and support each other while their little ones can play without worry. Watch this space!

MAIONESE SEM OVO. SEM PROTEÍNAS DE LEITE. SEM GLÚTEN. SEM FRUTOS SECOS . Adoramos. Nas entradas, pratos principais, petiscos, patês. A Maionese é daquelas coisas que fica bem com (quase) tudo. Ontem fizemos esta receita, que recomendamos muito Ingredientes: 50ml de Aquafaba (água de cozer o grão) 1 dente de alho 1 colher de sopa de vinagre de maçã 1/2 colher de chá de sal (se usar a aquafaba de lata, atenção que já é salgada. Neste caso não acrescente o sal) 230ml de óleo vegetal (aproximadamente) Modo de preparação : Coloque a aquafaba num copo alto e com a varinha mágica bata por 5 segundos só para ela ficar “branca”. Em seguida adicione o alho e o vinagre. Bata de novo até o alho triturar e vá adicionando o óleo aos poucos. A consistência desta maionese é idêntica à consistência da maionese tradicional, portanto adicione óleo até ela ficar no ponto certo de maionese. Malachi enjoyed a nice, relaxing bath this afternoon. Still no answers on the feeding front. To say that we're frustrated is a gross understatement. Everyone here acknowledges that there is something in all the formulas that Malachi cannot tolerate. Even the elemental, most allergy-proof formulas set off a reaction. Basically, the plan now is to discharge tomorrow and go home on a continuous formula feed until we have more answers. A continuous feed at least minimizes the allergy symptoms. I personally think it is a dosage issue. On a continuous feed, the dose of the allergen is kept low (though at a constant rate), while a bolus feed forces a higher dose of the allergen into his system within a short time, setting off a pretty serious immune response. At least, that is what my observations (and my own experience with food allergies) tell me. It's still irritating, though, because he doesn't otherwise need a continuous feed. He can tolerate full volume bolus feeds just fine. We just keep getting set back because of some dumb food intolerances. Ugh. We're discharging early tomorrow morning for an appointment at NW Asthma & Allergy. Malachi has had to completely come off all his meds the past two days, so they can run skin and blood tests. All I know is I am not allowing tomorrow's appointment to be just some initial consultation. I want testing done for all the things! I want to know exactly what he is allergic to... It is the only way we can ever hope to move forward and establish a good diet that is safe and something that he can tolerate. Then, we're scheduled to meet up with our nutritionist in Yakima next Wednesday, as well as our new pediatrician. Continued my baking frenzy in the kitchen by rustling up this #vegan Braided Chocolate Swirl Cake, a recipe from the @britishbakeoff website. Most #dadanddaughter days involve a trip to meet @smcddb for lunch at one of the local coffee shops, but unfortunately most places do not yet cater for Sally’s #nondairy or #eggfree needs. So I like to make sure I always have a #vegantreat in my purple #manbag and this #bake was the perfect combination of sweet/savoury for my little monkey 👶 Always a win when I manage to get a well dressed Sally, a groomed #poodle Carlsson and a packed lunch out by midday, never mind the fact that I haven’t looked in a mirror or checked for food stains on my top before leaving the house! Yesterday I had three rice crispies in my beard for half the day. Seriously! 🙃

حساسیت غذایی (food allergies) شیر گاو و تخم مرغ و آجیل مسئول ۷۵ درصد آلرژی های غذایی هستند. علایم شایع آلرژی و حساسیت غذایی شامل: کهیر و اگزما ، استفراغ و اسهال، شوک،خونریزی گوارشی و....است. حساسیت به پروتئین شیر گاو بیشتر به شکل اسهال نمایان می شود و در شیرخواران برای اولین بار به شکل دفع خون با مدفوع شل مشخص می شود. درد شکم، بی قراری و استفراغ هم ممکن است اتفاق بیفتد. تغذیه انحصاری با شیر مادر در ۴ ماه اول تولد می تواند موجب کاهش بروز علائم پوستی و حساسیت به پروتئین شیر گاو در دو سال اول تولد شود. بنابراین تغذیه قبل از ۴ تا شش ماهگی توصیه نمی شود. استفاده از شیر خشک های هیدرولیز شده کامل یا نسبتا کامل از بروز اگزمای ناشی از حساسیت به پروتئین شیر گاو می کاهد. نهایتا ممکن است نیاز به استفاده از شیرخشک ساخته شده از آمینو اسید مثل neocate باشد. استفاده از شیرخشک بر پایه سویا ممکن است مشکل را حل نکند، زیرا ممکن است آلرژی به سویا هم وجود داشته باشد. مادر شیرده هم نباید از محصولات دارای شیر گاو مصرف کند. سه تا شش هفته بعد از قطع شیر گاو علائم گوارشی رفع خواهد شد. #milkallergy#foodallergies#حساسیتشیر
