Happy Easter!! Heading into a holiday weekend while reaching for my wellness goals used to trip me up. I would decide to just go off plan and indulge, indulge, indulge. Then that would snowball into a few days and then come some random Monday, I “start over”. That doesn’t - or won’t - happen anymore! Why? I just completed a 21 day program that has me fired up for my next 21 day program. It’s become a habit because my journey is fully supported, by not only my family, but my awesome team of accountability partners! It’s so much easier when your friends show up and put in the work both in the kitchen and in your workouts with ya. It also helps when the nutrition plan is fool-proof with lots of yummy recipes that actually offer nutritional value instead of processed and chemicals! Not to mention, my daily superfoods that provide all the essential vitamins our bodies need and couldn’t possibly get from food alone. Basically, I’ve found a winning combo that keeps me accountable and happy! Sooooo, comment below if you need some extra accountability. We can always use more motivating women like you!
Happy Easter, friends! The girls woke up this morning to the Easter Bunny’s treats and a mini scavenger hunt. - Since we live in Okinawa, I thought it would be fit for the “Easter Bunny” to give the girls some cute Wagashi (traditional Japanese confections/sweets, or ‘mochi’) shaped like Koi fish and flowers for Children’s day. They are the CUTEST thangs! - What goodies did the Easter bunny leave at your house?

Did you know hubby got on the healthy eating and workout lifestyle waaayyyyy before me? Do you know how many times he begged me to go to the gym with him?!? But I hated working out, disliked getting sweaty and so I turned him down!! . . I tried many times to start “healthier habits” but I was never consistent. I tried many “diets” but I just could never stick to them and the more I was told I couldn’t eat something, the more I wanted to have it. . . Took me years to find what worked for me. I realized I needed to take a different direction when it came down to my health and maybe the gym wasn’t for me. I needed more direction and spending hours at the gym wasn’t the answer for me. . . . Today I asked my husband to workout with me and he reminded me of the times when it was him pushing me to exercise. Now I invite him. Exercise is one of my favorite activities to do with him. We laugh, we sweat, & we push each other!
I appreciate this man so much. Even from the other side of the world, I know I can count on him to make me laugh and feel so loved. Every day is #husbandappreciationday with a wonderful husband like him!
Professionally, we guide and counsel other folks to their definition of love all the time. Love never has a color, but today in our own family, we honored #blackmarriage. The smile on @admire_my_tenacity and her groom face was priceless. What would Black marriage be like without giving an “O6” shoutout for the groom?
