What if your dog is standing in the middle of the lane during rush hour? No questions asked, the $20 doesn’t even matter. You’d be running into the middle of the road to grab your pup.🐶 . >> So what’s the difference? Your driving force or reasoning has changed. That’s what knowing your why should feel like! . 🤷🏽♀️ Now think deep about this... what is your real why? . * so you feel comfortable naked in front of your significant other? . * so you can be a good role model for your daughter so she doesn’t struggle with body image issues like you? . * so you can beat the statistic and be the first one in your family to not struggle with diabetes? . * so you can stop hating your body and punishing it by starving it? . 🌈 My personal why: this is a photo from my college graduation shoot a few years ago. This woman hated her body so much, she thought she was worthless. She hid her body and thought she didn’t deserve to be treated better. She was settling with her life. . My why is to never feel this way again. To make sure I know I’m worth it, I’m beautiful, and to never let another person make me feel obsoleted. Training tip Tuesday!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Got a little something for all of you back day lovers, and also for some that struggle with stability and pulling power! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you're looking to add power and stability, chest supported barbell rows are an great way to do just that! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I literally did these for the first time yesterday, and was instantly hooked! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm a big fan of barbell rows, but sometimes your legs do some of the work for you by supporting you and driving a little to get the weight moving! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ By setting up a bench with a slight incline, and not using your legs to stabilize and drive, you're really forcing your back to do majority of the work here! This really translates well into deadlifts too bc you need that stability to hold the bar close to your body when you're performing the lift! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ By doing this kind of exercise, you'll be able to pull a lot more when you deadlifts bc your back has become stronger without the help of your legs, so imagine how much more weight you'll be able to move when you do have your legs involved 💪🏻👊🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is definitely going to make it into my training sessions because you know I love my deadlifts, and anything that can improve it is cool with me 😎 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you have any questions about this or any other exercise, I'd love to help! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #iam1stphorm#1stphorm#legionofboom#duespaid#neversettle
When dealing with health issues many times we neglect to think of our brain health 🧠 Growing up I suffered from Chronic Depression and anxiety and not seeking help completely held me back from achieving peace. As a Man that was Raped 3 times as a child and didn’t seek help, it made me grow angry.. I didn’t know how to love or receive it. Truth be told, many men do not seek help. I’ve held group sessions where I’ve had men say “We’re supposed to be the strong ones” while holding back tears. Vets saying that they’ve been in war but being raped in the barracks messed them up more than them taking someone’s life. I’ve always urged people to get mental help if they need it. I mean it when I say that I truly love everyone. From the deepest part of my soul! Hear me when I say! NO ONE HAS IT WORSE THAN ANYONE. We all suffer in different ways. I want to thank my closest friends that have known and given me love unconditionally. Also, I want to state that no matter how bad you had it in your past, you still have enough to love on people. A month ago, I posted a video on YouTube about overcoming my rape but also how it effects a Man. I’m so happy that I got DMd from men that said they thought there was no hope.. but damn! THERE IS! Life is a blessing! If you’re waking up it’s for a purpose. It took me 23 years to start cruuushing it!! 24+ I CRUSHED IT!!
