Photo taken in Barbados a few days ago because today I didn't film my practice 🙈. I'm not always the best at slowing things down and giving my body a break so todays yin class is exactly what I needed. I stripped it back and really focussed on breathing into the postures, striving to release tension in the areas that are tight and general aches in my body. Have you ever had experiences where all the odds are stacked against you!??? Where you’re the underdog? Where the doctors said it wasn’t possible? What I’m learning is that it is in those moments you get to decide to say “yes” or “no”. It’s up to you to find trust and faith in the powers that be or fall victim to the HUMANS around you. Bless their hearts they don’t mean harm but we are vibrational beings and the minute you “agree” to their concept your mind begins to translate that AND your mind is POWERFUL beyond belief. So I challenge you to trust in the powers that be. God is the author of the universe, what can he NOT do for you!??! Miracles are all around us. Trust. Be. Allow. And when worries arrive remind yourself that it’s old patterns of thought that have NOTHING to do with your current reality or your current vibrational stance. We are each so special and unique. That is why we each need different set of yoga “rituals” for our own specific lives. ⠀ ⠀ For awhile now I have known that we shouldn’t all be practicing the same practices and I’m not just talking about postures. I am talking about all of it ... postures, breathing practices, meditation styles and more. ⠀ ⠀ I have always struggled a deciding how to divide my limited amount of time between all the yogic tools and techniques. Should I do less physical yoga and more meditation? Could I dedicate my yoga time to pure relaxation with yoga nidra? Would that make me lazy? ⠀ ⠀ No matter how dedicated and disciplined of a yogi I am, I don’t have time to practice all of it everyday, no one does. To be honest, most days I don’t even have a full hour to practice. So getting clear on my rituals was life changing.⠀ ⠀ Now I curate my daily yoga practices specifically for me. My rituals are based on my needs, what I am currently dealing with or working towards. These are also the baby steps needed for big changes. Hello manifestation! These rituals allow me to manifest big dreams in an approachable, manageable and not so overwhelming way.⠀ ⠀ Figuring out how to curate a yoga practice perfectly tailored for you is exactly what we will be doing on all of the retreats this year. I call them ‘Intuitive yoga rituals.’ And the best think you can do for yourself is create your own personal rituals. ▶️16. Self reflection is going to make you more positive and more productive each day.😀👍 Self reflection is the act of mindfully and critically thinking about your day. How did you feel during the day? Is there a reason you felt that way? Where you realistic about how much you could accomplish? What went well that you would like to do it the same? What mistakes did you make? What could you do differently? 🤔 Every day there are lessons to learn, but most of the time we miss them because we are busy and don’t take the time to stop and reflect. You may find a way to do things more efficiently.; you may slow down enough to recognize a friend who needs help; or you may recognize small things you are thankful for. When we reflect on our day, we will be able to learn and improve on those lessons and live a more effective and meaningful life. Self reflection is also going to make you more positive because, just like with the gratitude section, you don’t miss counting the little things. 📘In the Faith Fitness Fullness Journal/Planner, we offer the opportunity to reflect on your day in 2 different ways. First is in the mood section. Circle the emoji on how you felt you day went. Then drop down to the “Regroup, Reflect, Rethink” section to jot down a few notes on your day. * the breakthrough * I wonder if I’m the only one who currently feels like I’m nearing a personal breakthrough. I’m familiar with the feeling. We’ve all been there before right before we have a revelation and we spiritually “level up.” I wanted to do an energy pull for everyone with the hope that it may serve as a validation or as guidance. The cards are: The Hierophant | The Star (reversed) | Eight of Wands (Reversed) | Strength The energy for the coming week (and will perhaps carry into the rest of the month) is that of a nearing breakthrough through persistence and inner strength. It calls for a change in perspective from you and that won’t come as easily but it will be worth it at the end. There is currently a stale air of restlessness, of feeling stuck and when we feel stuck, we usually become overwhelmed with hopelessness. In reality, being stuck is an advantage as it can really help us figure out a karmic lesson we may have overlooked. The Divine wants us to make sure we are ready and empowered before we take our next step. While the Hierophant also means religion, tradition, and the teacher and student dynamic, in this case is appearing to us as Shani (Saturn), a disciplinary energy of karma meant to teach us valuable lessons through difficulties. It is our teacher and we are its student and in this classroom setting, we have nothing to fear. The Hierophant is helping us transform the toxicity that arises from the Star and Eight of Wands reversed. We have been focusing greatly on our negative thought patters and our thoughts and words are much more powerful than we give them credit to be. What you wholeheartedly believe, manifests into the world. When you believe you’re not capable of something, We’ve been feeding this negative energy for far too long, cancelling out the radiant energy that the Star upright could present us with. Take a moment, meditate on what you feel has been holding you back, compile a list and tackle it.
