#mealprep saved my Monday!  I really used to struggle to find time for meal prepping on Sundays. I would have all the good intentions on a Saturday - I'd head to the shops with my long list, buy all the food & then find all the excuses not to do it on a Sunday!  It was only after ££ of food in the rubbish & more ££ spent on take-aways mid-week because hungry now & no energy to cook that I got my act together. If was only when I realised how simple it could be and how much it would help me stay on track each week (budget wise too), that I started prioritising my time and taking a couple of hours on the weekends to get it done!  Here's my 3 tips to make #mealprepping a little easier: 📍Keep it simple.  Your meals can be tasty without being fancy. Focus more on different spices rather than recipes with 5+ ingredients. Think 3: protein (chicken), veggies (carrots & string beans) & carbs (sweet potato)! 📍The slow-cooker (or crockpot) is your best friend.  Just add your ingredients, turn it on, and leave it. It doesn't get much easier than that. Makes the best sauces! It's legit a game-changer when it comes to meal prepping. 📍If you are new to meal prepping don't try to make food fro the whole week. Pick one meal, say dinner, and then prep a couple of days worth of that meal. Slowly build up over time & make food you love!  For me #mealprep is KEY! Otherwise I’d be eating mindlessly. Put all ingredients, excluding vanilla and optional nuts, into a bowl. Microwave for 90 seconds. Whisk until smooth. Whisk in vanilla and optional nuts. Last year, when I went to a Tamilian wedding, I fell in love with the South Indian staple "curd rice" aka yogurt and rice with a tempering of spices. So comforting, tasty, and SIMPLE to make right at home.  Instead of rice, I opted for my favorite grain...you guessed it...quinoa!! You could make a big batch and eat it over a few days, great for lunch or dinner.⠀ ▪️ ⠀ Combine the quinoa (cooked according to package instructions), greek yogurt, and salt until it is smooth and there are no clumps.  I needed to add a splash of water because the greek yogurt was pretty thick. For the tempering, heat oil and add the mustard seeds; when the mustard seeds begin to splutter, and a sprinkle of urad dal (split and dehusked black gram lentils) and saute until golden brown.  Then add chopped green chili, curry leaves, and hing (asafoetida). ~Vegetable lasagna~ I made this a few weeks ago, but substituted the pasta for thin slices of butternut squash and below is my verdict!  To make the lasagna, I just followed the BBC foods recipe which is actually pretty good 😚  Verdict of butternut squash instead of pasta: if you know me you’ll know I ❤️ pasta therefore I personally wouldn’t make this swap again. A portion of this didn’t fill me up as much as a pasta lasagna and didn’t give me so much energy. This meant I had to eat a small dessert or snack prior to my workout. To co potrzebujemy to : resztka rosołu , mięso z wczesniej gotowanego rosołu, 3/4 lyzeczki vegety,  ostra papryka w proszku ilość dopasowana do wlasnego smaku , garść świeżego szpinaku , szczypiorek,  cebulka dymka , 1 lyżka ketchupu i makaron udon . Wszystko oprócz makaronu wrzucamy do garnuszka i zagotowujemy . Próbujemy, zawsze można doprawić.  Makaron gotujemy jak na opakowaniu . Łączymy i na wierzchu posypujemy pieprzem. Gotowe . Jesli ktoregos dnia traficie na resztki to wlasnie ten przepis stworzy coś z niczego. Okay, I’m gonna be real with you guys. Before I started meal prepping, I HATED cooking. I got no enjoyment out of it, and I often ate bad or too much as a result. After I figured out the right kind of fitness, I knew I needed to figure out the food aspect. Thus, I started looking up recipes on Pinterest and giving it my all. Cooking with me kind of looks like a Tasty video, which means I pre-cut everything and there are a dozen different bowls full of chopped veggies or mixed spices. One of the biggest stressors in cooking was furiously prepping while cooking, so now I do them one at a time, and that has helped a lot. And Pinterest is an excellent place to find recipes. . Banana protein waffles: 28g carbs, 4g fat, 17g protein 💪🏻 perfect for quick breakfast, packed with all the nutrients we need 🙏🏻 crafted this recipe myself, with a few trial&errors 😂 but tis the way of life! This recipe obviously makes a bunch, which is what we look for but you could always cut in half or 1/4 it for smaller batches :) ➖ ➖ ➖ 4 bananas (I use frozen) ➰ ➖ 2 cups unsweetened cashew milk➰ ➖ 8 scoops of protein powder➰ ➖ 300g of oats (I use quick)➰ ➖ 8 egg whites ➰ ➖ 1 cup whole grain flour ➰ ➖ 3 tablespoons of melted coconut oil➰ ➖ 2 teaspoons baking powder ➰ ➖ Teaspoon baking soda ➰ ➖ Teaspoon of salt ➰ ➖ ➖ Add all ingredients to blender and blend up, then pour half a cup into waffle maker! This recipe can also be used as pancake batter if you don’t have a waffle maker 👌🏻
One of my favs to make! I end up throwing a bunch more veggies in to boost the fact that I omit the noodles or rice. Game changer is to throw in some bean sprouts at the end...just a lil, for a lil crunch!
Light snack/appetizer 😋 Lettuce tacos with chicken/meat replacement, salsa, tomatoes, onions, peppers, cucumber and carrots 😋 I use around 100g of lean meat, pan fry it with Mexican seasoning, onions and peppers.  Add salsa, meat and veggies onto the lettuce.  The dish is filled with nutrients and protein.  I had some oat/chocolate raw balls on the side 🙈 Otherwise I would have still been hungry. But it’s a good alternative to eating chicken and broccoli💪✨ Have the best day.
DAY 14- 30 Day Ab Challenge ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is one of my fave workouts of the challenge🔥🙌🏻. . We are adding on and doing cardio & strength for MAX fat burning and AMAZING ABS!🔥🙌🏻 Do 3 sets of Each for your best belly.💦👙 1. 🔥Reverse Lunges (6 reps each side) 🔥Overhead Squat (12 reps) 🔥*Level 1 -hold hands in front of you. *Level 2-Hold hands above your head for extra arm work. *Level 3-hold a dumbbell, med-ball, or even cans of food. Just something HEAVY. Maybe, your giant purse!😂🙌🏻 2. 🔥Reverse crunch (15 reps) * level 1 your legs will be high and knees will have a large bend kicking the legs toward the upper body. * level 2 your legs will have a medium bend kicking the legs directly toward the sky. * level 3 your legs will have a slight to NO bend  bend kicking the legs directly toward the sky and pausing at the top, if possible.  3. 🔥Plank (30-45 seconds) Level 1-on the knees reaching forward one hand at a time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Level 2- Plank with hands clasped and BOOTY DOWN! Don’t let your hiney pop up even if it’s the best booty in the world and deserves to be seen. You can show it off after the workout! 😂😘🍑 Level 3- Elevators: coming up and then back to your forearms. BOOTY DOWN.🙌🏻 Then repeat 🔁 2 more times to get your best abs!!!🔥🔥🔥
