Conditioning. -  Why do it?  I mean..it doesn’t feel great. Breathing heavily, like fire in your lungs. -  Then muscle fatigue starts to kick in and your fighting that little lizard brain. It’s saying “take a break. You’ll be ok. It doesn’t matter much.” -  But you’ll keep going. Keep fighting through. Every breath. We all have different obstacles we are trying to get over in life. I think about the space and place I am at in my life and feel like this picture is a good representation. I am finally almost over the hurdle of Physical Therapy School. I am so glad to clear this phase of life and will not be looking back except to see what progress has been made. The other side will bring new obstacles that challenge me in different ways, but I am excited for what is next because I know good things are to come.  Challenges are hard. That’s why are they are called challenges. We all must find ways we can get over the hurdles before us. Regardless of the strategy we decide to use to attack our challenge, it is better to face the them with someone who has our back. This was a partner workout and my new buddy Matt was about to follow over as well. It’s remarkable that merely knowing someone else is in the same state of suffering as we are, or is also struggling, makes the suffering more bearable, and might even make the struggle worthwhile. I am grateful for having several good friends that I know I can count on to suffer with me in meaningful ways, while reaching for something better, something more. These Train with Rich weekends continue to be a fantastic opportunity to be with people from various avenues of life and find out what challenges they have conquered or are currently battling to overcome. Whatever you are suffering through or are struggling with, don’t go at it alone. Suffer together. Struggle in community. #mayhemmindset ・・・ It’s important for me to add the perspective I’ve gained over the last year to the foundation of truth I’ve created for my life. For me, reaching my potential means striving to be a better person physically, mentally and spiritually. So, here's what I’m doing for 2019: . Physically-At 50 years old I’m not willing to limit myself but I’ve learned some hard lessons this past year. I’ve got to be more intentional with my lifestyle choices if I want to train hard. Stay hydrated! I made some mistakes that really affected my health because I failed to simply stay hydrated at all times not just while training. The kidney specialist I had to visit said, “if you're thirsty you’re wrong!” Good advice. I’m getting my blood analyzed every 6 months. Your bloodwork will tell you what adjustments you need to make in your diet, nutrition, and lifestyle. I've trusted @insidetracker and their proven scientific approach. Put quality food into your body at the right time. I’ve had success with periodic fasting and I'm using  @urtheanswer protein powder and creatine to keep me on track . Mentally-My 10 core values are the filter for all my choices and decisions. I continue to develop and grow the meaning of those values as I learn and gain new perspective. Using your values is like bathing, it works but you have to do it regularity in order for it to be effective. I know personally, I need more of the value of self-discipline in my life to reach the goals I've set for myself this year. I’m working on a plan and a practical, clear definition of self-discipline for my life right now. . Spiritually-Living with more purpose and meaning will require you to wrestle with the question of spirituality and come to an understanding for your life. Making choices and decisions connected to what you really believe means you can think things through situationally, psychologically and ideologically. I’ve increased my level of involvement and

Gymnastics is.. -  Well gymnastics is super challenging. -  Controlling your body one rep after the next. When performed at the highest degrees professionals make these movements seem effortless even when they’re using their entire body to maintain composure and structure the entire time. -  I never learned proper gymnastics as a child. I was always playing sports and learning how to cut, run better or throw with my opposite hand. -  When it came to CrossFit and being a bigger dude, I would originally rely on strength to get me through gymnastics. -  After taking classes and practicing repetition after repetition m, gymnastics is becoming less daunting and more inviting. -  Sure I have a long way to go, but ill never stop trying to become a better version of myself. -  If you’re struggling on something in the gym or outside of the gym, try taking a step back and get a hold of the basics. We need to walk before me run. We need to make static shapes before we muscle muscle up. we need to listen and obtain information before speaking our mind. We need to learn before we coach. We need to learn about control before we calculate macros. -  It’s simple. Mache in 20 Minuten so viele Runden wie möglich: 5 strikte Klimmzüge 10 "ehrliche" Liegestütze 15 Kniebeugen ohne Gewicht  Poste deine abgeschlossenen Runden in die Kommentare *Was ist eine ehrliche Liegestütze?” Bei einer „ehrlichen Liegestütze“ bewegt man sich langsam -beginnt in völliger Extension- zum tiefstmöglichen Punkt, ohne dabei sich zum Boden „zu strecken“ oder die dabei die angespannte, starre geradlinige Körperhaltung zu unterbrechen. Danach kehrt man wieder in die vollständige Streckung. Richtig ausgeführt ist die Liegestütze eine anspruchsvolle Ganzkörper-Bewegung. #workoutwednesday (on Thursday): 4 rounds: 1min Rogue Echo Bike 20 double unders (or 40 singles) . 3 rounds: 2min Rogue Echo Bike 30 DUs (or 60 singles) . 2 rounds: 3min Rogue Echo Bike 40 DUs (or 80 singles) . 1 round: 4min Rogue Echo Bike 50 DUs (or 100 singles) . Workout Details:  Each set of double under or single under jumps must be unbroken.  A no rep during the jumps will result in repeating the round.  As example, assuming you miss one of your jumps during the 3rd & final set of 30 DUs, stop jumping, put down the rope, and restart the round with 2min on the Rogue Echo bike.
