This kid is obsessed with his pumpkin! He keeps wanting to carry it around to the point that daddy had to take it away today because little bear kept fussing when he would drop it! 😂 Talk about maximum effort, that thing is as big as his torso! #maximumeffort#lovespumpkins#justlikehisparents#fallfallfall
Sometimes the right thing to do is the hardest thing to do. Life sucks sometimes, but honestly, what defines your character is how you respond when life punches you in the face. It’s easy to be happy and peaceful when life’s going well, but how do you respond when it sucks? When you’re pissed off at everything? If you can keep your head level and not let your emotions control you, if you can choose to feel without letting it destroy your peace, if you can find your center through it all and hold fast, then I’d say you’re a damn wise person and you have a deep understanding of life.

2016 NPC Nationals & 2018 NPC Nationals. You see yourself in the mirror so much that you don’t always notice the changes that can occur as a result of your training. This also shows that I had no idea what to do as far as posing in my first year of competing. Thank you, @evanlagace, for helping me throughout all of 2017 with my poses. You were a godsend. #kylesjourney#maximumeffort#progress#classicphysique#reardoublebicep#posing
What is the ideal first building blocks for a toddler? This was the question I asked myself when I noticed my toddler begin to stack random objects before turning 2. There were so many beautiful and overwhelming choices! I have the grimms rainbows in every size but ultimately I don’t believe they’re particularly intuitive or satisfying for a toddler to work with. As for basic blocks, every option around me seemed feature-overloaded and wrong from a Montessori perspective if it became normal to expect a toddler with a strong sense of order to DESTROY first before building. And so I had these made and our trusted handyman Rex, who does everything at @alittlemontessori, gifted these for my toddler’s 2nd birthday. They’re maximum effort blocks, made for a toddler’s need to do as much as they can as soon as they can. In the simplest shapes that fit with intuitive symmetry for a child’s mathematical mind to discover hands-on. So did they work? Swipe to see!💡 . She’s now 2.7 years and not once did she become destructive about the things she built, even after expanding to smaller grimms mosaic blocks, magnatiles, jenga or tegu. In the very last clip, imagine the connections she’s making as she actually uses what she built? “The greater the effort, the greater is a child’s pleasure”. Experimenting with Montessori principles is my kind of fun (arguably the nerdiest revelation I have made of myself)!🤣 . #makeyourownmontessori#crazymontessorilady#alittlemontessori#firstbuildingblocks#preparedenvironment#maximumeffort#sensitiveperiodfororder#montessoritoddler#montessoriathome 📖: quote by Maria Montessori’s 1946 London Lectures at @montessoriaz.ph
