Tomorrow is my last day of clinicals. I made this gift basket for the doctor I am following. Super thankful for those that are willing to precept. Thankful for all the knowledge I gained during this preceptorship 🧠. One more class to go before I get my Masters Degree 👩🏽🎓.
Check out our story and let us know if you’re interested in taking part in our 31 day writing challenge for August. If we get at least 20 yeses, I will create templates and writing tips for the month that can be shared in your story! We’ll also share your reflections throughout the month. 💻🗓📑
I had a client/friend of mine take my grad pictures. So stoked to get that degree on August 9th! •Do beautiful things with your beautiful life• So much has changed in a year. This time last year, Isaiah and I were looking for houses in Georgia. I was planning on starting my DC program while Isaiah was gone but life had other plans. In the midst of deciding to stop looking for houses and put off the degree due to an unexpected pregnancy, the stress of it all got to me. Unfortunately, we miscarried. But during that time, another door opened. I was sought out for a Graduate Assistantship, which covers (most) of the cost of tuition. How could I turn that down? I chose the 1-year program which would finish up a few months before Isaiah returned. And then life took another turn. A month and a half into my first semester, my stressful and full-time semester, those two lines popped up on an at-home pregnancy test...again. This time, they were crystal clear unlike the previous one which was so faint. And so we embarked on the journey of preparing for a baby... while Isaiah was leaving and I was in school. But we made it. Little does she know, but Leighton kept me going, even when I didn’t want to. I took care of myself and stopped with the all-nighters I was so guilty of. I attempted to stop procrastinating. And we did it. I had a baby during my last semester, which my amazing professors allowed me to take my classes online so I could stay at home with my new babe and recover. I play the single parent role while Isaiah provides for us (with all the help from my parents). And I passed my accelerated program with a 4.0.
