Final snack of the day was these @unitedbiscuits Go Ahead! pretzel bites in milk chocolate 🥨 ✅ 94 calories I’m a huge pretzel fan and also a lover of salty/sweet snacks in general. I’m obsessed with the Flipz range but get so carried away with them and end up scoffing the whole bag, so when I saw these pre-portioned packets of chocolate covered pretzels in @asda I thought they would be great for me. The number of pretzels in the bag is really minimal. There can’t have been any more than 6 or 7 and they are really small. So I’d use these as a sweet fix rather than a substantial snack for sure. They’re pleasant in taste and texture but lack that salty taste that Flipz do so well. The chocolate is also far less creamy and I think it must be spread a lot more thinly (which would account for the low calories) which means they aren’t as chocolately as I’d like. I may be the PIZZAQUEEN, but I love me some doughnuts. Who am I kidding? I love food in general 😂😂 . My kids and I do Doughnut Sunday every single week. Regardless of my diet situation I enjoy a doughnut with my family. It’s not about calories, it’s about our family tradition! I can fit a doughnut into my macros easily. Especially on a Sunday, it’s my rest day so I don’t feel as hungry since I don’t workout. . Does this restriction-free style of eating sound pretty good? Once I lost the guilt and stopped labeling food as good or bad my life totally changed. I eat nutrient dense food 90% of the time, but if I want something I will eat it and not feel guilty. I just fit it into my plan depending on my goals. . Restrictive dieting takes a toll on people and most can’t adhere to it for too long which leads to binging. The goal should be something sustainable for the long term, not a quick fix diet. . I teach this philosophy to my nutrition clients and we find a way that works for them, as an individual. I don’t write out meal plans because honestly who wants someone telling them exactly what and when to eat?? It’s all about lifestyle changes for YOUR lifestyle. . . Mentally think how the weight 'feels' and if there is still appropriate tension on the muscle.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's about keeping the ego in check to actually cause tension on the target muscle. This was exactly the case with me on RDL's the other day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Jumped from 115 to 120 and really had to focus on keep that weight exactly where I wanted.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now I'll have to keep my want to keep pushing in check and work this weight until I'm as locked in as I was with 115, which the previous week gave me DREADFUL hamstring DOMS.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That's the goal with 120 next rotation after the deload. Today’s macros. Bad on the protein. I went and bought some pastrami and snacks and fruit. I need to start eating fruit during the day. Yeah, it may not be low-carb, but it is feeling and has helped me to lose weight before. Plus, the fiber and natural sugar can help me have more energy possibly. Been feeling grumpy lately. I think it may just be hormones and feeling blue about getting older and not accomplishing some of the things I want to. At least not yet. There is always hope. I believe in the strength of women helping each other to achieve. A staunch feminist that believes in equal pay. I also appreciate when someone opens a door for me or just offers to help if I am struggling with groceries. I often try to do it myself, but I appreciate their kindness. Sadly I think some women that can do it all may look down on fellow women that are not as successful as they are. Even as the body positivity movement grows, and in very liberal and accepting settings, it is often women that still judge or look down upon their fellow women, especially in power dynamics. Swipe for Meal Plan Ideas! Food diary - All meals consumed from 12-8pm today. I have one plant based meal in this but if you are looking for more super easy and quick plant based meal ideas and recipes. - Water and black coffee as usual during the fasting period. I’m also putting plain BCAA’s (branched chain amino acids) in my water to help prevent muscle breakdown and aid in repair and recovery. 💪🏼 - M1 - Mocha Protein Smoothie - a daily staple as it’s that good! (1 serve/scoop choc protein powder, 1/2-1 frozen banana, 4 walnut halves, 1 heaped tsp raw cacao, 1 tsp organic coffee (or a cold coffee shot), 1/2 tsp cinnamon, water and ice). Currently using Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard whey in Double Rich Choc. 😋 - M2 - Turkey chilli (lean turkey mince, diced tomatoes, garlic, dried chilli flakes, cayenne pepper, turmeric, salt and pepper and bulked up with zucchini although you can use any veg. I do use red kidney beans sometimes but wanted to show how you can easily make it low carb if needed and you can eat it on it’s own but I added parboiled basmati rice and 1/4 avocado. Same meal as I had yesterday for lunch and it’s always great to cook in bulk and have leftovers ready to go. - M3 - Left over roast chicken from last night crisped up in a non-stick frypan on pre-packaged salad for convenience (American bbq slaw kit from Woolworths if you are in Aus - dressing not used) with 1/4 avocado and thinly cut sweet potato wedges. 👌🏼 - M4 - red lentil soup - a good one to make in bulk and have over a few days. Salt-reduced vegetable stock, onion, carrot, celery, red lentils and a bay leaf. Simple. 👌🏼 The lentils are a good protein source but you could always throw in some chicken if you did want extra protein. - M5 - 3 egg omelette with the rest of the leftover.

Been feeling pretty strong and a tiny bit slimmer lately 🤗 💪🏼finally moving up weight after being stuck on the same for a few weeks on the big three (squats/DL/bench). My nutrition hasn’t been great...but I’m getting back to it. A small victory is being able to move down a hole on my Inzer belt 🤗🤗 honestly couldn’t have made this much progress or learned so much without @fbomtanner (aka thotty mami🍑🙃).
