This is definitely something to keep an eye on. Elway says the Broncos were very concerned for the injuries of C Matt Paradis. He most likely was using this as an excuse because they did not have the cap to retain him. Nonetheless we do know Matt has been faced with some injuries in his career, especially last year and it will be interesting to watch how he bounces back.🔥🔥🔥🔥
Going into the 2019 season, the Panthers are still left with a hole in their secondary. With Mike Adam’s departure, FS is still a hole needed to be filled this offseason. Luckily for us, there are plenty of safeties still available through free agency and the NFL draft. Who is a safety you’d like to see on Carolina next year next to Eric Reid? First look at what would be our Offensive Line. I’ll analyze each one of the starters LT Taylor Moton / Daryl Williams LG Greg Van Roten C Matt Paradis RG Trai Turner RT Daryl Williams / Taylor Moton
As you might know, the Panthers will be facing the Buccaneers in what would be our first London game. Normally, these games are played in Wembley, but that could change this season. Tottenham New Stadium (name TBD) is emerging as the potential stadium we will be playing at. The stadium hasn’t opened officially, but will April 3rd in a Premier League match between Tottenham and Crystal Palace. With a final capacity of around 62,000 fans, would you play here or in Wembley?
Get to know Draft prospect: Deionte Thompson, Safety, Alabama. PROS: 1. While being in deep zone coverage, the way he reads and recognizes the play is awesome. Swipe to see first video. His speed and agility makes him able to intercept the ball or at least force an incompletion. 2. His speed. Swipe to see second video. Dude can help to stop the run outside and inside. Either he helps the tackle or makes it himself, his speed certainly helps him. 3. Can work in the slot. Sometimes in Alabama, Thompson was put in the slot and did really well, something the Panthers really need help in. Man coverage is also something I saw good in him. CONS: 1. Tackling. This was the only negative thing I saw about Thompson. Almost all of his tackles are made with the same technique, which is going to the feet. When is an open field tackle, he sometimes go with this tackle, and defenders easily break his tackle. Although it’s my only concern, it’s a big thing for big plays not to happen.
A combine test has revealed Mississippi St. defensive end, Montez Sweat, to have a heart condition. Before Sweat’s insane combine, the star studded DE was projected to fall to Carolina at the 16th pick of the draft. However after his combine many have said he won’t even fall past the top 10. He has a frame similar to Peppers and many are calling him the best EDGE rusher in the draft beside Bosa and Josh Allen who are both projected top 5 picks. The condition supposedly isn’t a high-risk that could impact his career as much, but it could possibly a big enough risk to drop him 4-6 picks to pick 16. - Will Sweat still go top 10? Or will he drop to Carolina’s 16th pick in the first round? Another prospect I could see we should pick is Alabama Safety Deionte Thompson. First of all, with the Offensive Line additions (Paradis and Williams) Cam Newton is protected for the season. Defensive Ends in this year’s draft are very talented, thing which I think they will all be gone by our time to pick 16. We have already resigned Eric Reid and now we need another safety to pair him, but, all safeties in Free Agency are already taken or are old or too much money. Deionte Thompson seems a good pick after saying all this, doesn’t he? I’ll drop my scout later today. Basically I’ll try to convince you that this guy is our option. Yes.
Panthers have cut the worst LT in the NFL, Matt Kalil. Kalil, was the 4th highest paid player in the team. This moves comes after we resigned Daryl Williams, per @carolinapanthersgermany Wenn Sie Deutsch sprechen, folg’ ihm. YESHHHH 🤑🤫
BREAKING‼️: The Carolina Panthers are resigning OT Daryl Williams to a 1 year/$7 million dollar deal. This is extremely good value with how the market values this position. It is also a good thing to keep the contract one year so that he can prove himself after going down with a severe knee injury🔥🔥🔥
I might be a little late BUT the panthers wisely spent some of their money to recover a very underperforming offensive line as of the past couple of years. the cats signed C Matt Paradis (29 years old) to a 3 yr/$27 million contract which seems like an absolute steal at this point considering how much we are paying for someone like Matt Kalil (in his 2nd year of a 5 yr/$55 million $31 millon guaranteed). I think the signing of Paradis is and will be one of the best moves the organization could have made after the departure of Ryan Khalil. The Panthers O-line could be potentially be one draft pick away from being a legitimate powerhouse starting unit with one or two legit backup options. WHAT DO YOU THINK? #keeppounding#panthers
Day 1 of the Legal Tampering period in the NFL Free Agency has been slow for the Panthers. The Panthers have only made one move today, resigning Safety & Special Teamer Colin Jones to a 2 year $2.6m deal. Some players of positional needs that are still available after day: • FS- Haha Clinton Dix (Washington, 26) • FS- Adrian Amos (Chicago, 25) • FS- Lamarcus Joyner (LA, 28)❌SIGNED BY RAIDERS • FS- Tre Boston (Arizona, 26) • FS- Adrian Philips (San Diego, 26) • LB- CJ Mosley (Baltimore, 26) • LB- Za’Darius Smith (Baltimore, 26) • LB- KJ Wright (Seattle, 29) • DE- Markus Golden (Arizona, 27) • DE- Henry Anderson (NY Jets, 27) • C- Matt Paradis (Denver, 29) • OT- Ja’Wuan James (Miami, 26) • WR- John Brown (Baltimore, 28) • WR- Golden Tate (Philadelphia, 30) • WR- Tyrell Williams (San Diego, 27) ⬆️I will keep updating this list to the end of tonight* - Panthers former WR, Devin Funchess, has signed with Indianapolis for a 1 year/$13m dollar contract. Panthers Free Agents Daryl Williams, Kyle Love, Mike Adams, Cameron Artis Payne, Wes Horton, and Thomas Davis remain unsigned. #keeppounding - Comment below⬇️🔥 _______________________________________________________ Follow @PanthersVsWorld for Panthers Content! _______________________________________________________ #keeppounding 🥁 _______________________________________________________ #carolina#panthers#carolinapanthers#charlotte#nfl#camnewton#lukekuechly#luuuke#cmc#christianmccaffrey#djmoore
Ok so my thoughts on this season, either sit Cam for the whole year and limit key young players (McCaffery, Moore, etc.) to keep the mileage on the our biggest assets relatively fresh. OR Prove to me that Cam is 100% healthy and comfortable enough to go out and take the hits necessary for his game to be beneficial and successful. Cam is 29 and in the last couple of years of his prime before he begins to decline and his body will most likely begin age on him. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? LETS DISCUSS!
