Day 3: Spring is here! Let’s go over some common misconceptions about spring allergies: 🐣As mentioned before, spring allergies are due to trees, not flowers. The pollen from flowers is too heavy to be widespread in the air and thus are unlikely to cause allergies. 🐣Intranasal steroids like Flonase are safe for long term use in adults. Those with glaucoma may need to avoid them, and very young kids should be monitored while on different types of steroids (like topical or inhaled). 🐣Our bodies keep changing so if you didn’t have allergies when you were young, you can still develop them as you get older. If you had allergies as a child, they can resolve. 🐣if you moved to a new location, it takes about 2 years to become sensitized to your new surroundings. See your allergist after this time to help diagnose what’s causing your symptoms. 🐣Its no coincidence that the first day of Spring is also the International day of Happiness. This Spring -and all the other seasons- let’s be nice to ourselves and others. Being happy isn’t about what you have, it’s about how you feel. Feel good and do good!🐣

I have started banging on about ACTIVATING YOUR PLAY FREQUENCY because once upon a time (well, only six months ago actually!), I had completely forgotten how to. PLAY, that is. I was struggling to be seen not only as an expert in self love, but also as someone who had their $&*# together and was always available to hold space to those in need of guidance — whether they were paying me OR NOT, which was more often the case because of the shame I carried energetically about not ‘making enough’ money. And I THOUGHT that by DOING ‘the work’, EVERYTHING would somehow magically fall into place. And it didn’t. QUELLE SURPRISE… NOT! Something HAD to shift, which was part of the reason I packed a suitcase and travelled halfway across the world. To FORCE myself out of my uncomfortable comfort zone, which scared me $&*#less, but it had to be done. And as hard as it was to say goodbye to my best friends and everything else that was familiar, I had to start FEELING into what MY SOUL really wants. Which I discovered was to PLAY! And guess what? NO-THING bad happened! Well, I did endure a physical purging (migraines, projectile vomiting, uncomfortable digestive issues, streaming sinuses, heavy chest, difficulty breathing) for four days last week that was horrendous at the time, but I surrendered into it, knowing that something amazing awaited me on the other side. So it really wasn’t a ‘bad’ thing. In fact, it turns out that by ACTIVATING MY PLAY FREQUENCY, I have learned in a VERY big way that if it doesn’t FEEL good, then it is NOT MY TRUTH. Even in the physical purge, which didn’t feel great, I realised that because I AM not my physical body, it was not my truth, simply a cellular activation I was experiencing. I was literally FORCED by the big U to step up OUT OF MY SHADOWS, because I’ve got some serious PLAYING TO DO. Since massively upping my steps through the day I've finally broken my plateau (I've been stuck for ages!) and am starting to legit see the changes, so quite pleased with that! I know not every win is over the scale, and slow and steady wins the race, and all that, but actually seeing visible progress, even small, does tend to help with lagging motivation. Week4.Day2 Tabata Strength builds your strength by using your body weight. Ok....I have weight to use, but 8 lbs less than last week at this time! . And....since I've been fueling my body better, its moving better and feeling stronger. It's amazing what a shift in mindset can do. . For those of you not familiar with these INSANE 30 minute workouts, the purpose is to push your hardest....and when you have to take a break, that's your #maxouttime . Happy Monday! You know what day it is, #modifiedmonday. . Last Monday we talked about workout modifiers and why I love them. Let’s review the why. . I like to think of modified moves as learning in layers. (Kinda like peeling the layers of the onion…the further you peel, the better the flavor and taste, only if you like onions) By starting out at the layer I can handle, I learn the move. As I get stronger, I build up the layers until I can do it full force. . Today, I am showing you the #plankjack modified and regular. Back to this morning...and this is where the magic happens: My hubby said to me this morning, "let's plan our meals for the week." And you know o said, "you make our shakes and I will get the cookbooks out." He marked his fave recipes in the new book. When hubby is on board, you jump all over it. Week 2 of any plan is when I struggle, especially after a very successful 1st week. That mindset briefly crept in, but I have kicked it to the curb. New Mindset. And how successful was week 1?
