I decided to leave the bunny proofed area, thought it would be funny. Mummy had to try and catch me and it was stressful for both of us. My teeny little heart was pounding so fast I sounded like a choo choo train... (I hate being picked up, incase you didn’t know) so mummy finally caught me and she held me, held my legs so I didn’t hurt myself, or her. And she held me like this until I calmed down. I’m so lucky to have a patient mama 🐰 || DOES ANYONE ELSE’S BUNNY HATE BEING HELD AND TOUCHED?
I haven’t posted anything about Tugboat in a few days because we had quite the scare on Saturday morning. . . Tug had just been to the vet for a routine nasal flush and was acting fine (other than being extremely mad about his nose being flushed 😡). Tug had been molting like crazy and I was concerned cause his poops started to be linked together. Vet gave me a laxative to break up the hair and told me to keep an eye on him cause he could get clogged. ... . . Saturday morning I was up super early for work and went down to feed the bunnies and Tugboat took two bites of his pellets and went back into pen and put himself in the corner and hunt him up into a ball. He LOVES his morning breakfast and this was a not like him. . . I went to work and left early at noon cause I was worried about him and found tug in the same spot and he was flipped over and not respond to me at all. I quickly ran up to grab critical care as I called the vet. Tug was rushed to the hospital and learned that his stomach had distended and he was in GI stasis. .. we had been too late and there was something lodge in his tummy (most likely a hair ball 😩). . . My vet kept him 3 days and we weren’t sure he was going to make it...BUT his finally pooped after a ton of medical care and I cried when I got the call 😭😭😭 . . . I was so thankful I acted quickly and the vet said if I had waited any longer he probably would have died. 😢. . . . So grateful for my vet and the team of technicians that cared for him 🙏🏻 . . Tug is finally at home and eating and pooping normally and all is well! . . . . Give your bunny a hug or a head rub and send them all the love. . . Love , Tugboat, Biscuit, and Jenny 💗
