Took THE hardest class of my life yesterday @trooperfitness which is apparently comparable to @tonehouse ☠️. It involved 6 flights of stairs (multiple times), sprints around NYC, sleds, box jumps, tuck jumps, jump squats (with 40lb sandbag), a buttload of cardio for 1-hr straight with ZERO rests, you get the gist. & I’ll definitely do it again but only if @jackieleigh3141 does it with me. So tonight I’m flowing and stretching + 8 minute abs [day 5] of course🧘🏼♀️
Dryer sheets & laundry detergent are some of the highest toxic things we have in our houses. Replace dryer sheets with wool dryer balls & get some Thieves detergent. 🙌🏻 So you may be like well I’m not eating it or spraying it on my bod so what’s the big deal? Well...when you wash and dry your clothes the things you use to clean them gets absorbed into your clothes. So when you wear your clothes all day you are absorbing and smelling those nasty chemicals. Umm no thanks! 🙅🏼♀️ Drop 3-4 drops of your favorite oils onto the wool balls and toss them into your dryer. That easy my fiends. ⚡️
Lifestyle of self improving doesn't come easy. We need to work to live healthy, happy, financially stable and to, overall, take care of ourselves so we can help others with the knowledge that we gained on our personal missions to find our center! . . This awesome post is by: @___justpeachyy - "Early bird gets the worm 🐛 or in my case, the apple that hopefully no worm has touched 🤷🏼♀️ heading into crow pose and taking a selfie is the first challenge of the day, but if you’re not pushing yourself, don’t expect someone else to come do it for you 👏🏼 half way through my routine and then a sweet cool down with some apple CBD tincture in my water from @envycbd 🍏 How are you challenging yourself today?" ^ ^ ^ Be sure to swing by and give her a like and a follow!!!🙌🙌🙌😎💯💯 . . . #e3h#hypeme#e3hpro#lifestyle#community#love#photography#videography#canon80d#spreadingthelove#wehypepeople#wehypelife#hypelife#livehealthy
💀Did you know that most household cleaners contain pesticides and toxins KNOWN to cause cancer?! Well, when you know better you do better!💀⠀ ⠀ This brand is one of my favorites and I know the owners of @branchbasics personally- they happen to be even pickier than me about non toxic products - so you can rest assured that this ONE bottle of concentrate that you can use on EVERYTHING is the cleanest and most effective house cleaner out there. ⠀ ⠀ You can use this concentrate on your dishes, your laundry, your hands, your toilets, and even as a glass cleaner! ⠀ ⠀ Guys they even have a product that removes stains from clothes + carpets! I have a 8 year old who uses his clothes for a napkin and a 10 year old who insists on painting her nails on the carpet..so this comes in freaking handy. ⠀ ⠀ But here is a pro tip that made me love this cleaning product even more- I add 6 drops of OnGuard and 6 drops of Lemon essential oil to the spray bottle. Smells amazing and packs an even more powerful punch!⠀ ⠀ You can get free shipping on orders of $39 or more by clicking on the link in profile! ⠀ ⠀ http://branchbasics.com/partner/seasonjohnson/
Are you open to receiving things that you might not even know you needed? 👐🏻⠀ ⠀ Or do you automatically say “No” ✋🏻to things that just aren’t on your radar, 📡 things that aren’t or haven’t been what you were specifically looking for?⠀ ⠀ I most definitely used to be the latter (and sometimes probably still am if I’m 100% honest). ⠀ ⠀ Sometimes we don’t WANT to see the message 🗒that is right in front of us because it’s either not what we were looking for or it’s not what we wanted to see. 👀⠀ ⠀ Somebody extends an offer to you . . . 👉🏻⠀ You come across information that is interesting . . . 🤔⠀ Your plan is to do that “later”. . . 💁🏻♀️⠀ You don’t know anything about that. . . 🤷♀️⠀ You’re nervous to say “yes”. . .😬⠀ ⠀ Whatever the reason, I think we often miss opportunities 🛳that are presented to us or ones that we literally run into because we just aren’t OPEN to it.⠀ ⠀ If I hadn’t been OPEN to looking at things that made me happy, things that made me feel fulfilled, things that helped me to feel like I made a difference, I would totally have said “no” to this coaching gig.⠀ ⠀ But I was at a point in my life where I NEEDED more. I frankly wasn’t looking for more in coaching but that’s exactly what I got. ⠀ ⠀ All of those things (happiness, making a difference, feeling fulfilled) came with this coaching opportunity. I am so much the better person for having said “YES!”⠀ ⠀ So you . . . ⠀ ⠀ Are you open to receiving the message?⠀ ⠀ #dontstaystuck⠀
I had one of those insanely running-around-like-a-headless-chicken kinda days yesterday. Working. Running errands. Spending time with the puppas. Family dinner. Seeing my man. And in the midst of it all, I got 5 minutes alone, pondering in the shower. You know, mulling over the important stuff like: Where my business is at. Where I want to be in 5 years. Why I do what I do. What I’m having for dinner. If that tee in my shopping cart has gone on sale at @theiconicau It feels so nice just to check in with myself every now and then to have a mini reflection session. It helps me get clearer about where I am and where I want to be. And it also helps calm my mind and settle any anxiety in between. It doesn’t have to be in the shower of course (hands up if you do the same though?! 😂🤦🏽♀️), but reflection is SO damn good for the soul and I highly recommend it. I walked out feeling squeaky clean and refreshed, ready to tackle the next hurdle. Big love to you all. Sar x P.S. what was your last shower thought?! 🤔
Last night's dinner...Zucchini Taco Boats!!! So incredibly yummy and a crazy healthy dinner option. (FYI...this will be one of the recipes in the meal plan for my upcoming FREE 21 day shred challenge, so stay tuned for details on that). The leftovers from last night will also be tonight's dinner. These things take a hot minute to make, particularly if you are slow in the kitchen like I am. As such, I made a big batch of them so I could have leftovers. The leftovers are a huge win, especially on a night like tonight when I don't have a ton of time to spend in the kitchen. Wanna know some other ways you can eat healthy when you don't have time (or energy) to cook? Hedy Phillips and Brooke Alpert share five ways to do just that in an article on popsugar.com: ✔Take advantage of your freezer - keep it stocked with healthy veggies and lean protein. The veggies won't go bad, and it will only take a minute to whip up something yummy on the stovetop or in the microwave. ✔Buy already-prepped foods - there's no shame in stocking up on pre-cut, pre-mixed, or ready to go ingredients. Eason and I are big fans of chopped salad kits!!! ✔ Master a few go-to meals - always have ingredients on hand for key dishes like cauliflower fried rice or "spaghetti" using zucchini noodles. ✔Don't be afraid to order take-out - you CAN make healthy choices when ordering take out. Want Mexican food? Order chicken fajitas without the tortillas. Ask me about the burrito bowls I get when I go to Moe's. Stick with veggies most as your base, and you will be in good shape. ✔Keep smart snacks on hand - ditch the crap in your pantry and get some snackable veggies, almonds, and low fat greek yogurt. Baby carrots are my snack of choice these days!!! 👊I'm always happy to talk nutrition, so hit me up if you have any questions or if you'd like to learn more!!! . . #healthytips#holistichealth#healthyeats#healthyfood#fitfood#fitfoodie#deliciousandnutritious#healthycooking#eatwelllivewell
Alpha-lipoic acid seems to help prevent certain kinds of cell damage in the body, and also restores vitamin levels such as vitamin E and vitamin C. There is also evidence that alpha-lipoic acid can improve the function and conduction of neurons in diabetes. According to the Juvenom Health Journal, “Tomatoes, in particular, are rich in folic acid and alpha-lipoic acid. In fact, many studies show an elevated incidence of folate deficiency in depressed patients. Folic acid prevents an excess of homocysteine, which restricts the production of healthy mood neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine from forming in the body. Alpha lipoic acid helps the body convert glucose into energy, and in turn stabilizes mood. However, seek a professional to help if you suspect your depression issues are more than a passing phase.” FAMILY HEALTH ADVOCACY🌱 The Worlds 🌎 Connection To Natural Health”
I didn’t show up for my workout this morning so I can “earn” my Friday night treats. You don’t have to “earn” your food or drinks. Ever! . Even though I wasn’t quite feeling it this morning and I was battling with a number of excuses in my head, I showed up because it’s good for my health, mentally and physically. Exercise is good for my body, and food of the chocolate variety is good for my soul. And in my life, both are equally important to my overall well being. . It doesn’t have to be ALL IN or ALL OUT. Take it from this once serial dieter - balance IS possible. And once you realise you can be healthy and eat your cake to, then life becomes so much more enjoyable. . Happy Friday xx . #balanceiskey
Slowly working on this piece every day while working on other orders and mom responsibilities. 🐚 Fatigue symptoms kicked in today from my #premenstrualdysphoricdisorder . I really get uncomfortable sharing about it on here. But PMDD consumes my life and if I didn’t share I wouldn’t be telling y’all the whole truth behind the squares. 🐚 I’ve had it since I was a teen but only found out about two years ago what it was and how I can limit the symptoms. 🐚 Did you know that 1 in 20 woman have PMDD? That’s a lot of us, but so many woman may suffer from #pmdd and not even know it. If you’d like to learn more about it I’ll share a link in my stories. 💙 On a more positive note, Patrick is on his way home after being away for a month! He even got to come home a day early so we’re super stoked! Getting this long weekend started at our house!
It’s been a solid month of takeout, fast food, frozen meals, and zero workouts (I mean, packing and painting and demolishing a kitchen are good workouts buuuut it doesn’t feel the same.) I don’t know how long it will take to finish our kitchen but I’m cravinnggg some home cooked healthy meals. Cannot wait.
There is no amount of force or weight that you could exert on the earth where she doesn’t have you. ⠀ ⠀ Remember you are not the holder of everything, you are also held. ⠀ ⠀ Reminding myself of this on a particularly hard day like today where I’m running on 2 hours of sleep with two fussy toddlers. Getting outside and putting my feet on the earth is my version of self care for today.
