I often get asked how I find the time to work a full time job and run an online health and fitness business. The answer is simple: my dreams are just as important as the company who I show up 40 hours a week for👏🏻 The truth is, If we want something bad enough, we will find the time. Whether it’s saving that episode of the Bachelor for the weekend, or leaving the mountain of laundry for another day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I just worked 8 hours, cleaned up the house, got in a 30 minute workout and now it’s time to hop on a one on one call with one of my new coaches. Trying to just keep my shit somewhat together for a few more days. Something I’m finding out about myself is that 1) if I mess up in the morning, I allow my entire day to be ruined (even though I have the mind set that “it’s okay I’m gonna be healthy for lunch and the rest of the day”) 2) I stay in the bad habit for a week and I’ve very much set to the mentality of the restart of a Monday.... things I need to work on 👌🏻

After my detox off sugar and processed foods, I went through some shifts. At about the one-month mark, I felt delicate, almost like an infant re-born, a bit fragile on the inside and out. What guesses would you have to a percentage of people who choose "a road frequently traveled which is medication and surgeries" versus the other "lesser road of lifestyle modifications"??? My guess is 65%. People tend to choose what is convenient and quick which could be directed at any facet of life. Who doesn't like convienence but that does not always make the best choice... I suggest taking the time to weigh out options of pro's and cons if the time allows before acting fast (this obviously would not apply if an emergency situation). Also, give something new or different a chance before deciding that something does not work for you. Ask questions to a qualified physical therapist, personal trainer, nutritionist, dietician, chiropractor, therapist, lifestyle coach, etc that can educate you. Flourless Brownie Muffins⠀  Prep Time 10 mins⠀  Cook Time 12 mins⠀  Total Time 22 mins⠀  Servings 12 cupcakes⠀  Author Beachbody⠀ Ingredients⠀ 1 (15-oz.) can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained, rinsed⠀ 3 large eggs⠀ ⅓ cup + ¼ cup pure maple syrup, divided use⠀ ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder⠀ 1 tsp. baking soda⠀ 3 tbsp. coconut oil, melted⠀ 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract⠀ ¼ cup all-natural peanut butter⠀ ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk⠀ ⅔ cup Vanilla Shakeology⠀ Instructions⠀ Preheat oven to 350° F.⠀ Prepare 12 muffin cups by lining with muffin papers or coating with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.⠀ Place chickpeas, eggs, ⅓ cup maple syrup, cocoa powder, baking soda, coconut oil, and extract in blender or food processor; cover. When you decide to make lifestyle changes, you are sure to find friends and family who are supportive of your specific health goals. However, it will inevitably affect your relationships and may require an uncomfortable transition period and it is normal to expect frustrating or hurtful comments which could sabotage your efforts. A recent study revealed that the main reason loved ones might be especially critical about lifestyle changes is that they are simply projecting their own insecurities. Most sabotage is not malicious and much of it is not even conscious or intentional, but it can represent a considerable obstacle to your momentum unless you recognize it for what it is and strategize to deal with it. This is depression. This is not always having a “choice” or a simple “mindset shift” because no matter how bad I want it or no matter how hard I try happiness is just out of my reach. This is keeping it together when you’re around your kids or company but breaking down the minute you’re alone. This is when things that used to bring you joy..you can’t even bring yourself to do them anymore. This is hiding in the bathroom to let it all out so you can pull yourself together to make it to bedtime. This is knowing the woman you want to be but feeling like actually becoming that woman is impossible. This is what people don’t see when they see my strength. Get your work done by staying focused. - Do one thing at a time and be present when doing that. Just a mama doing her best to survive the grocery shop, Keeping them occupied in the best way I know how.  I was actually surprised by how much attention the kiddies got eating whole raw carrots while we shopped. When they started having a little sword fight a little Circle formed, some onlookers appearing charmed others horrified, it just made me smile. Its been a long time since I have felt embarrassed as a mama, I breast wherever whenever, I remain calm in the face of an on the shop floor toddler meltdown, I often have hay in my hair, goat foot prints on my jeans, ( which I realize once we are out) I've got old dirty farmer hands and a sun drenched glow to my cheeks. I'm just a mama doing her best, trying to show love, compassion and model thoughtfulness about our environmental impact. I want to show my little brood that to grow food, garden, nurture animals, and be a guardian to the forest is being a good person, and good =  happy.
