Feeling like a badass, “flaws” and all 💪🏻😎 . I know people are already angry that I used the word flaws, and are starting to have conversations in their head about why I shouldn’t, but there IS a reason... so hear me out. . Recently, someone very close to me was the victim of body shaming from someone very close to her, and it infuriates me that I wasn’t there to SHUT IT DOWN. 1- If you are looking at someone else and judging them based on their looks or thinking negative thoughts about THEIR body/“flaws”, you need to figure out WHY... because that has more to say about you than them. 2- If the things I mentioned in number one are true for you, DON’T EVER think it is okay to express those thoughts. To anyone. Ever. Especially the person you are thinking about. It’s rude. It’s wrong. And NOTHING positive can come from it. 3- If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. (Thanks for that lesson, Grandma 🥰) . On a lighter note, I cannot freaking WAIT to start this new program next month. And I want a crap ton of women to do it with me, because I KNOW it’s going to make us ALL feel like badasses and embrace WHO WE ARE and support everyone else AS THEY ARE. So yeah... if you’re interested, lemme know 💖✌🏻 . I also included a little video to show you what exactly I was doing when I snapped this still shot 😉➡️
One of our proudest moments. Zach getting sworn in as a police officer for the city of Macomb. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yesterday made me feel so many different emotions. As a police wife, you never want to think anything bad is going to happen to your officer. You know something could happen, but you block those thoughts out so you can send them out the door every day to their next shift. Then this happens 30 minutes from home. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Police say a Fulton County Sheriff's Deputy was fatally injured in the line of duty Tuesday afternoon. At approximately 2 p.m., 39-year-old Deputy Troy Chisum responded to a battery and disturbance call in Avon, Ill. During the incident, multiple shots were fired, fatally injuring Deputy Chisum.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s heartbreaking. It sends chills through your body. It’s the realization that this could happen to any of us who have family or friends in law enforcement. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve said prayers for this officer’s wife and daughters. I’ve been thinking of all the men and women it took to respond to this incident. This call should not have ended this way. Deputy Chisum’s life should not have been lost yesterday. You don’t have to like police officers, but please have enough respect for them and their families to let them come home at night. They’re just trying to do their jobs like the rest of us.
A very slow 3 miles today. 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️ It’s my rest day on my program I’m following. And my initial plan when starting the program was to only run on my 3 rest days. But I have been absolutely LOVING running. So I’ve been pushing it and running everyday. And I know better. I’m opening myself up to injury and I need to be careful. 🤨 So today I went really slow and walked more. Still got in 3 miles, but didn’t feel like I pushed it too hard. ☺️ Something to be said about listening to your body. 😉 That being said, my upper body is so sore from the lifting!! I love it!!💪🏻 #anothermotherrunner#motherrunner#bamr
If you haven’t already, go give us a follow ☺️💜 REPOST 👇🏼 “Hey Y’ll! Just thought I would re-introduce myself since we have gained some new followers (woohoo!). My name is Jess and I’m the founder of LXV Clothing. I am a wife and mother living with cystic fibrosis. I wanted to create a company that raised awareness for CF but in a creative and discreet way so anyone would/could wear. LXV is the Roman numeral for 65 and often times cystic fibrosis is referred to as “65 roses” as it sounds similar. My main goal with this company is to raise awareness for CF and reach different communities that know nothing about CF through our name and story. My other goal is a little more personal...I have a little boy who looks up to me and I hope this company will show him that you can take any negative situation and turn it into a positive. I hope to inspire those (with CF or not) that they should never let their situation limit their ability to be happy and succeed.” ⠀ ⠀ I hope everyone has a fabulous Wednesday! 😘⠀ ⠀ Much love,⠀ Jess ⠀ ⠀ #lxvclothing#lxv#cysticfibrosis#cfawareness#justbreathe#65roses#cf#cfwarrior#cfmom#cfparent#cyster#fibro#feelinsalty#salty#foodie#gymrat#fitgirls#gymlife#momlife#furmom#leowife#thinblueline#thinredline#firewife#clothing#clothingline#smallbusiness
These were the greens he wore yesterday, on a barricade/hostage callout. Aside from being super stinky (just trust me on that), they are intact. If he shed a single drop of blood, it was from the IV of fluids he received after being in the 100-degree sun, with full gear, all day. After a neighboring agency’s SWAT team spent about 16 hours through the night, trying to negotiate with a man who was holding a child hostage, D’s team took over the call (standard procedure). Less than a month after leading training on various deliberate hostage rescue scenarios, they were handling the real thing. As they were getting ready to have the other SWAT team take the call back over, and almost 24 hours after it started, they had the opportunity to go in and get the boy. Hours of planning and waiting, on top of years of training, came down to these moments. He called it out on the radio, triggering a serious of simultaneous actions from various members of the SWAT team and bomb squad, with D entering through a window. Not a single shot was fired, they got the boy, and arrested the man. No blood. Thank you God, no blood. If I didn’t know any better, I’d have thought it was just another Tuesday (usually the day they train). My gratitude for the professionalism of the men he works with can not be overstated. He and the men he works with are freaking rock stars, and it is thanks to the hours they put in of training targeted specifically for situations like this one. They kept each other safe, and they got the innocent boy out safely. I am so incredibly proud, yet also humbled, to have the privilege of being by his side, and to be a very small part of the family of blue (or greens). #leowife#swatteam#swatwife#thinblueline#tacticalgear#tactinerd#hardwork#training#operator#grateful#comehomesafe#thepewpewlife

Proud. That is what comes to mind when someone says LEOW. (Law enforcement officer wife for those who maybe follow us but aren’t in that world) we are proud of our husbands not because we think they are the most important people with the most important jobs... there are so many jobs that are equally as important. We are proud because they serve, they investigate, they help, they try, and they protect. Every. single. day. They are human and make mistakes, we all know that. But... they wake up to try to help make a difference in this world. Whether they feel like they do or not... we know that they do. We are way more than just wives too... this is not our only identity. We’re moms, sisters, daughters, friends, and professionals in our place of work. We don’t think our husband’s job is better than other people’s jobs... but we know that they risk their lives to help make this a safer and happier world for everyone whether you support them or not. Tell your husband your proud of him today! He might need a little pick me up! We are Thankful for both of our husbands and any of you who serve and protect us on a daily basis! . . . . #bluewifelifepodcast#bluewifelife#leowife#leow#backtheblue#proudofourhusbands#bluewife#tellthemyouareproud#lawenforcementwife#leow#marriagepodcast#marriage#proudwife

This. This is me. Raw and real and messy. I had just finished what I will call the hardest workout of my life and I was still dealing with all the emotions that had been uncovered. ▪︎ Today was day 3 of week 6, STRONGER, and the entire 20 minute workout was silent.... no talking, no instructions, no music, no nothing! And that complete silence absolutely broke me in all the good ways. ▪︎ It forced me to break down walls I had built up and to truly focus on what I was doing physically, as well as motivate myself to keep going and not to give up! This was so much more than just a workout today. If I ever get the opportunity to meet Shaun T in person he had better be prepared to receive the biggest hug in the history of hugs! I will forever be grateful to him for deciding to change lives like mine 💙
The hardest step I ever took was completely trusting in who I am and believing in myself. That hard step was also the BEST step!!✨ . At some point in life we give up on our dreams and believing we are capable of achieving them. I don’t know why that happens or why we suddenly think we aren’t worth the hard things but I’m here to tell you, YOU ARE!! . I was at a point of giving up, life was hard and crazy, I felt like I tried it all, that this was it and how it was “meant” to be forever. I seriously doubted myself but then I realized, if I didn’t believe in myself....why should anyone else?! A happy life starts with being happy with yourself💗
Apparently I'm suffering from extremely low iron and two viruses. This just might explain all (or most of anyway) my crazy symptoms. I told my doctor last week I really felt like my body was just under attack and to quit looking at each individual symptom. Thanks to a podcast from @chalenejohnson I got the 💡 to ask to get tested for a couple different specific viruses and a fil blood workup. Thankfully my doctor agreed. These viruses live dormant in almost everyone's body and you may never know it until a stressful moment in life wakes it/them up. . . I don't know if this is the answer to my year long struggle with exhaustion, weakness, poor performance, weight gain, and other "not me" symptoms, but being a #toddlermom and a diet lacking red meat version of iron just may have been the catalyst. . . So now what 🤷🏼♀️? Well, I immediately got some iron supplements. Decided to stop working out for a few days and will try to figure in some actual red meat into my weekly meal plans 😝. And sleep!!!! Oh that's going to be so hard. This goes against everything I know and believe, but it is #selfcare and I will listen to my body and get better.

My morning run thoughts: He paints a picture for us everyday, sometimes we just choose not to see it’s beauty. Stop looking at the darkness, the negativity, and the hate and choose to see the beautiful creations God has given us! It actually takes some effort to choose to see what’s positive in the world, but don’t forget where you are, where you came from, and where you are going! #achieve#goals#livinglife#bethebestyou#leowife#positivity#morningrun#devotion

People say to me OFTEN... “That’s way to expensive!” 💸 I know the feeling! I started this journey right after I had my first son and decided to stay home with him! All of the sudden we were a single income home. And here I was spending money each month on something for MYSELF! 😳 What was I thinking?!?! Let me tell you... I was thinking- I need to be healthier, I want more energy, I don’t feel like myself, my son deserves better... etc! 🤪 The list goes on and on... I knew I needed to make a change! So I decided to take a leap of faith and do something for ME! Something that would fuel my body and help me feel a ton better! ❤️ This meal that I drink every single day gives me fuel and energy.. oh AND help me get rid of my cravings for so much sugar! 🙌🏻 wait what?!?! Yep! You read that right! So, what’s your health worth to you?! What does it cost to feel amazing, know you’re fueling your body with good nutrients?! 🤷🏻♀️
Gordon Ramsay - you never disappoint 💥! This place was amazing, food, staff, even the plating 💥. We all devoured a bomb 💣 salad 🥗 then had a burger and kids had hot dogs 🌭 the size of their arms 😂. #gordonramsayburger
