Shooting film this past week has made me take a hard look at why I take photographs. - It restarted the internal conversation surrounding my motivation and my intentions. - I’m finding myself documenting and shooting without clearly defined rules. When I was shooting digital, I was always trying to create images that fit in a certain genre, but now I’m shooting whatever I find beautiful or interesting. - On top of that, as I do this exploratory capturing, I’m finding that it is sparking inspiration for individual projects and photo sets. Maybe a zine in the future? - As a digital photographer, I always thought shooting film would limit me, but it just so happens to have done the opposite. ☺️ - I spent the last few days entertaining some house guests and showing them around San Diego. I shot a few rolls of some cheap Kodak Gold and am having an absolute blast. - What’s your go to cheap film for everyday shooting?
