SQUATS The foundation of every athlete should be in their legs. A weak base makes a weak athlete. So don’t neglect those trunks! 💪🏼 Felt like going a little off of my regular program to see where I’m at. I was not disappointed! My 1RM about two months ago was 405. Today I got 405x5! Another thing I wanted to cover in this post was the importance of warm-ups! Often times I see people do a few reps at a very low weight and then immediately go into their working sets. 1: doing this makes you more susceptible to injury. 2: you won’t even reach close to your potential if you aren’t warming properly. I take between 3-5 warm-up sets before I even attempt my working sets on any given day. This ensures that not only your muscles are ready to handle they amount of weight you move. This helps warm-up your tendons, ligaments and joints as well. In my opinion it also mentally prepares you. Had to throw a little shoulder work in because I’m proud of my growth there as well 🤓👊🏼 Keep striving guys!
