Summer means garden goodies, hot pool days, BBQs, and sweet watermelons. ☉🍉 #protectyourmelons . My plans for this summer are to focus on relaxation and living in the moment. Our son is 2.5 now and it just seems to be flying by SO quickly!! There will be lots of hikes, bike rides, pool days, and camping! 🏕 . + Some work! Because I LOVE what I do and get to do it from home. #winwin . What are your plans this summer? I would love to hear them!!! 😘
Guess who skipped bicep day at the gym? 🙄 💪🏼🙋♀️ For real tho, check out this pot: One less step. Two less dishes. Now that’s three less steps. 🙌🏻 Why drain the pasta into a strainer and then pour into another bowl when you don’t have to? This non-stick pot lets you drain straight from the pot. Leave it all in there to mix and serve. Yasssss. ⠀ ⠀ It’s 5 quart, oval shape. It’s the PERFECT tweener size. The product description says the handles are “heat resistant”. Not true. I let cool before touching or use pot holders (they cool quickly). I’m not mad about it because I’m so tickled with the draining feature. #momwin (link in bio) If anyone can share their favorite one pot recipe, I’d greatly appreciate it. It needs to be SIMPLE. Like really something a 6 year old could do. #badcook
Tuesday Tools and Products. This is a shaker cup. The more of these you have in your house, the more likely your are to be fit. They carry shakes for later, shakes for now, protein for the gym, customized concoctions for long training, hangover water, incognito adult drinks, and they can beat eggs faster than anything. ❤️💪🏼. We have six in our house. How many u got?
Kitchen Tips: Let's talk about mistakes! Using the wrong pan ⠀ If a recipe lists a specific type of pan to use, it's usually for a reason. When it comes to materials, nonstick, stainless steel, and cast-iron skillets can't always be used interchangeably. You don't want to be searing a steak in a nonstick pan; trying to make scrambled eggs in a stainless steel skillet will almost surely lead to ruin (or at least more clean up than is necessary). The shape of the pan also has an impact: Pans with tall sides can make it difficult to get a nice sear on your food. In baking, it's also very important to use the size specified, because a different-sized pan will lead to a different baking time. Using a smaller pan than called for can also make it impossible to fully cook the inside of your baked goods without overcooking the edges. The color of the pan matters too — darker coated pans resulting in more browning.

Being able to transform my mind + body through basic nutrition, at home workouts + daily personal development has been the coolest thing about this entire coaching journey. I’ve literally followed every different version of the nutrition plans I offer + have been able to really find this sweet groove of what works for my personal body chemistry while navigating food allergies + a mostly plant based lifestyle. I have also consistently earned great results from following these plans. And I am currently finishing up my classes to actually get certified in teaching these nutrition programs. 🙌🏻 So, not to toot my own horn, (LOL) but I would say that I am pretty equipped to help show you how to support your overall wellness goals through your nutrition choices. 💁🏻♀️ We are talking about nutrition in my virtual wellness studio today as part of our ‘Free Prep Week Challenge’ + I asked them to tell me a little bit about their food preferences as a way to be able to know them better so I can help them navigate their nutrition goals. AND I also made another graphic in my stories for you guys to share yours too!
👻 Let‘s talk #kimchi smell: if you make kimchi and store it in your fridge, every time you open it, you get a whiff of your #ferments. Cutting up lemons and leaving them in the fridge or as pictured coffee grounds you would toss anyway are a great way to make your fridge smell a bit closer to neutral. When I was a kid, I used to be embarrassed when German kids saw and smelled what was in our fridge. Recently listened to @chefroychoi on @jeffstaple ‘s @hypebeast #podcast Choi saying the same thing. Fast forward 20 years and everybody is crazy about #koreanfood and especially smelly kimchi. I am also really happy to see my kid explaining to other people that the seaweed around sushi is called #김 and not #nori 🌎 #funfact did you know Koreans have fridges that are only dedicated to creating perfect conditions for kimchi to be stored? Makes perfect sense if you put so much time and effort into making tens of kilos of kimchi goodness, it shouldn’t go all super sour within no time. #kimchilover#fermentedfoods#smellyfood#kitchenhacks#uglydelicious#migrantfood#imokimchi#fermentation#healthygut

Cherries at Christmas is such a wonderful tradition, and here's a fabulous way to celebrate with my beautiful, deep dish cherry pie, mid-winter stylee! Divine golden, short crust pastry, with the cherries oozing out on to the plate, in a sweet, thick sauce. Because it's mid-winter, don't forget to add a good slug of brandy or port when creating. This is also a fabulous opportunity to use up your Sweet Spice Mash up. Enjoy a wedge with a mug of mulled wine and roaring fire. Link is in my profile. Happy mid-winter Christmas, one and all.
