It relies on lactic acid bacteria present in the vegetables to convert the sugar into lactic acid, giving the vegetables a characteristic tangy, sourness. ‘Vegan vegetables’ seems redundant, but no fish sauce or whey are used in our ferments. We made a jar of kimchi 2 weeks ago and it’s delicious! We usedChinese cabbage, carrot,mooli and spring onion. Swipe through to see the steps - step 6 is adding salt and squeezing the chopped veg with your hands (surprisingly relaxing) and step 7 is the spice mix of paprika, chilli powder, ginger & garlic. Once everything is mixed together it takes a week to ferment (in summer it would be a couple of days but it’s cold!)

Last year this time I was rushing to find the quick fix to getting my body beach and bikini ready. I am on better mood those days the days are brighter! Yesterday, it was grey and dull and I felt dull too. Today, with the sun shining bright I was on much better mood! I hope for more sunny days 🌞🌞 Atmosphere: 🍩🍩🍩 Chill atmosphere, people around you seem to be on good mood and chill music in the background. Service: 🍩🍩🍩🍩 The guy working that evening was super friendly. Quite fast service too! Food: 🍩🍩🍩 I would really like to recommed their AW! I don't see why they don't promote in on any webpage/facebook at all, but it is so worth the price! Half price for some menu and good price on drinks! Kimchee burger (113 SEK) had fluffy toasted bun and juicy, somewhat compact double patty that was pink in the middle. The patty was well seasoned, almost too salty. Bacon on top. The "kimchi" part was more of slightly tangy shredded cabbage/carot/radish with some chiliflakes on. Not much of kimchi, but good with the burger. Crispy fries on the side topped with some parmesan that was a bit too salty too. Ceviche (58 SEK) looked great, but was a watery sauce without too much flavour with a huge chunk of salmon and big shrimp hooked on the side. The greens and crispy veggies didn't add much flavour. It would have been better if the salmon was cut in finer pieces. Hard to cut with a knife in the glass. Meat platter (83 SEK) had much more food than we thought. Slices of toasted bread with olive oil, 3 kinds of meat (sausage, dried ham), lightly pickled veggies and tapenade. Tapenade was one of the best I had in my life! So rich in flavour - I think it had more spices than standard. Or really good olives. Other things on the platter was standard. Bezelini (85 SEK) was a cocktail with vanilla, caramel and lemon flavour. It had more of caramel smell than actual flavour - just slight hint at the end. But the smell was there when taking each sip. Tasted like lemon sorbet topped with vanilla and caramel sauce. A melted version of that.
I ❤️ BIBIMBAP It’s one of my absolute favourite dishes, but I hadn’t made it myself before today 😊 I was a bit nervous about frying rice and how long to leave it in the pan, but it turned out perfectly 🙌🏻 Golden and crispy rice with kimchi, marinated cucumber, carrots, spring onion, sprouts, fried mushrooms seasoned with rice vinegar, tofu, an egg, gochujang chilli sauce and sesame seeds 🍚🌱🌶🥒🥕🥬🍳🥢🍺 ——— Hur gott är inte BIBIMBAP?! 😍 Koreansk pyttipanna 🍛🥢🍺 Den godaste jag ätit var nog i Koreatown i NYC, men min första hemgjorda måste jag ändå säga att kommer på en god andra plats ☺️ Många moment, men egentligen inte så svårt att slänga ihop 🔪 Det knepigaste är att våga lämna riset orört i stekpannan tillräckligt länge, men utan att det bränns.
