Question: which side would you choose? 🍎🧀 ⠀ •⠀ •⠀ Soo many women ask me if they can eat fruit while losing weight! I encourage 1-2 servings of fruit a day 🍇🍓🥭, but do recommend pairing fruit snacks with a fat 🧀 or protein 🍳 food. Check out why below.. 🤓⠀ •⠀ •⠀ It’s true apples 🍎 have amazing micronutrients and fiber that we need! BUT they are also carb dense. For example, a medium pink lady apple (my fav!) has 95% of its total calories coming from carbs. Snacks alone like this are digested quickly and don’t leave you feeling full and satisfied for long. As far as energy, it means you get a quick increase in energy followed by a crash shortly after. 😴 ⠀ •⠀ •⠀ How can you avoid this? 🤔 It’s honestly simple! Try pairing your fruit 🍉 with a protein or fat food like string cheese 🧀, a hard-boiled egg 🍳, or almonds 🥜. This combo takes longer to digest and will keep you feeling full + satisfied for longer. I always recommend this weight loss hack to my clients because at the end of the day, they actually snack less because of how full and satisfied they feel! GARLIC HERB CHICKEN WITH ZUCCHINI By @alyssa_therecipecritic . Most leafy greens are a perfect source of nutrients for a Low Carb diet. However if you don't want leafy greens, consider zucchini, broccoli or cucumbers. Serves: 4-5 INGREDIENTS 3 tablespoons butter 4 garlic cloves, minced ¼ cup freshly chopped oregano 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs, or breasts salt and pepper 2 medium sized zucchini, sliced INSTRUCTIONS In a medium sized skillet over medium high heat add the butter until melted. Add the garlic, oregano, rosemary and thyme. Add the chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until chicken is no longer pink and 165 degrees. Remove chicken and set aside on plate. Add the zucchini to the pan and salt and pepper. Saute for 2-3 minutes or until tender. Went into @morrisons for a their salad cart & came out with 2 new mocha triangle patterned ceramic candles that were only £4.50 each 😍. Mocha, gold and cream is my bedroom in the making colours so one of these 🕯 fits perfect on a mini table I currently have in my bedroom!
KETO HOT DOGS 🌭 🤯 Thank the lords 🎉 - 🗒 Ingredients: 6 fully cooked hot dogs (they usually come fully cooked 😉) 3/4 Cup Almond Flour 1 1/2 Cups Shredded Mozzarella 1 egg 1/3 tsp Baking Powder 2 oz Cream Cheese EBTB seasoning or Sesame Seeds - 👨🏽🍳 Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 450° 2. Put the mozzarella and cream cheese in the microwave for 30 seconds , mix and repeat 1-2 times until it’s melted. 3. Add in the rest of the ingredients and knead until you form a well blended dough. If it’s too sticky wet your hands with some water and create a dough ball. 4. Separate into 6 pieces and coat your fully cooked (cold) hot dogs in the dough. You can either make little snakes and wrap them around or roll out the dough and wrap around. 5. Sprinkle with your favorite seasoning, I like TJ’s everything bagel seasoning. 6. Bake for 12-15 min. (Till brown) 7. I survived the photo shoot. The photographer survived me and we ended up with some lovely pictures. I wasn’t hungry until 3pm when I planned to go to a subway to get a salad but that was closed so I ended up getting a donner kebab, no bread, with salad. Ate on the tube covering up with the paper like it was prohibition era. Little do they know that eating this baby is going to give me a washboard stomach. Oh yeah! Now on the train back home to take over the baby from my mum. Hopefully soon will share some photos from the shoot.
