Thank you to everyone who has wished me good health the last couple weeks! I’m finally getting over this bout of bronchitis! 🥳 I figured a selfie was in order because: Today was my first day back in the office in 2 weeks. It felt good to get out of the house for more than just a trip to the store or the doctor. And I finally saw my gentleman friend last night after almost 2 weeks apart. Even though I (probably) wasn’t contagious, we didn’t wanna risk him getting sick, too, so he’s been letting me recover on my own. 😆 Anyway. Feeling about 85% well, and I might even attempt a trip to the gym in the next couple of days. Definitely by the weekend, as my guy and I have a gym date on Saturday. 😂 Love y’all! Happy Wednesday! 💖

These Tips are perfect, people is always asking how to do what I'm doing and I don't even know where to start #repost @low.carb.love Starting Keto? . Here are some tips 🥳 . 1. Please do your own research. So much info out there... don’t rely on other people to give you answers (they might not be “right” themselves). Read a book like Keto Clarity or look up YouTube videos (mine will be up soon🤗) . 2. Find out what your macros are for your weight and height (google “ruledme macro calculator”) to use as a guide. Track for the first few weeks so you get used to the amount of food that should be on your plate (@myfitnesspal ) . 3. Create a simple menu for the next week or two. Look at which meals contain similar ingredients so you can save on grocery cost. . 4. When starting Keto your main focus is cutting out carbs. I mean you still want to be mindful of your calories because calories count, but your goal is getting your body into ketosis. . 5. Ketosis is your happy place. Cravings will disappear as long as you keep your carbs low enough. If you still need a little sweet something, make fat bombs (recipe in my highlights). . 6. Avoid getting the “Keto flu” by drinking electrolytes (recipe in my highlights) or I also like @goultima, ACV concoction with extra pink salt and water. . 7. Workout at least 3x a week (dance, walk, cardio, yoga, etc)... at home or gym. . 8. Don’t over complicate keto. Don’t over think it. Eliminate the bread, pasta, grains, sugars, etc. and stick to whole foods. If you have to ask yourself “should I be eating this” answer is probably NO. . 9.Stick to proteins (eggs, beef, chicken, sea food, etc), veggies (no corn, potatoes) and healthy fats (butter, olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil) . 10. Don’t start eating keto treats and baked goods until you’re loosing weight consistently. The less treats you eat the better. Treats are meant for special occasions not everyday. . 11. I think if I just put it out there then there no excuse right? When I started my #ketojourney I was at my highest weight at 224. I fell off the keto train for the past few weeks and honestly I’m surprised that I didn’t gain more weight than I did. But we’re getting back on track now. Keto flu symptoms are starting to settle in and the sugar cravings are real right now, but I’m encouraged by the progress I’ve made this far and have found a new motivation. So let’s get this 👊🏻
