The sun will find you someday somehow. . . . There's an old village in a ravine from the time of Mughal emperors, and this little village, Saidpur was named after the Sultan Said Khan, son of Sultan Sarang Khan the Gakhar (a clan) chief. There stands a Hindu temple under tall, skinny trees. Some of walls are (I think) adorned with pietra dutra; the bright colours are similar to those throughout much Mughal architecture. When I had thought I was dying, there was a single thought in my head: Keep thinking. Thinking would keep me alive. But now I am alive, and thinking is killing me. I think and think and think... Jonathan Safran Foer, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close Scroll for the second picture taken at the New York Public Library. It is the third largest library in the world, and let me just say, I was astounded! I would be honoured to come back and read/study at such a beautiful library 📚 P.S. if you're looking for a new read, check the above, the prose is faultless.
This is the best shot we were able to get when I couldn’t figure out how to pose 😂 if you are interested in discovering more about the #chateaustmichelle please read my new blog! The link is in my bio Photo by @aaron.woah
📍Mount Nebo is an elevated ridge, known as the place where Moses saw the Promised Land before he died, according to the Old Testament. It offers panoramic views over the Dead Sea & the Jordan River Valley. While on a clear day, it is possible to see Jericho, Bethlehem and even Jerusalem. The Brazen Serpent Monument atop Mount Nebo was created by Italian artist Giovanni Fantoni. It symbolizes the bronze serpent created by Moses in the wilderness and the cross upon which Jesus was crucified. 🌍 #jordan#terrasanta
Lately I haven’t been anywhere new outside of Spain, so just exploring around Barcelona and creating new content 🌴 I would love to meet some creative people who live in Barcelona and would be interested in meeting up on the weekends to create new content together. So please message me if you are interested. ❤️ How do you all create new content for instagram when you don’t travel? What are your tips to constantly have interesting new content to post? 😘
During my spur of the moment trip to Barcelona last week, a whole 30 minute flight btw, me and my mum fancied a day in one of the nearby seaside towns. After a quick look at the map and google search we hopped on a train to the town of Blanes. Expectations were low as we'd no idea what it would be like but it was a typical Catalonian town with whitewashed buildings, beaches for miles and seafood galore, happy days! I do love having trips planned and in the diary but you can't beat the feeling of a random adventure. Are you a planner or go with the flow kinda person? 📸 taken at Sa Palomera, the towns natural lookout point over the beach and the start of the Costa Brava #blanes#takethetrip
#repost @suitcaseandi with @get_repost ・・・ 3 things I wish I knew before travelling to the Middle East: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (1) “You’re travelling by yourself, are you sure that’s a good idea?” Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Turkey, Palestine, UAE... not once have I felt unsafe in the Middle East. Show the exact same common sense and precautions you would in any other country. This region is rife with unfair and unfounded stereotypes that people will likely remind you (🤷🏽♀️) - don’t let it stop you exploring these beautiful countries 😄 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (2) I worried about my clothing way more than I needed too 😅 Despite fretting that my modest western clothing would still somehow be wrong, I landed to find what I packed was totally fine #worrywart 😂 Loose fitting modest clothing is all you need to remember - and a scarf for the days you visit mosques 🧕🏽🕌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (3) I did not expect to encounter as many other solo female travellers as I did! Sure it‘s not in the numbers you’d meet in Europe or Asia, but considering I’d been told I wouldn’t meet anyone in Oman, my expectations were exceeded 😝 Couple that with the heaps of other tourists I encountered in general and I left realising tourism is booming! With popularity comes crowds... so you should definitely book in your trip before it becomes selfie stick central 😝 @experienceoman ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Are you thinking of travelling to the Middle East anytime soon? Lebanon is the next on my list!! Let me know if you have any questions about these trips below 😄⬇️ #suitcaseandioman ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✄┄┄┄┄┄┄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #nizwa#nizwafort#oman#experienceoman#visitoman#omaninspire#middleast#omantourism
I really love to walk at the beach and watch the waves break. To listen to the sound of the ocean and to hear the seagulls screaming in the distance. To feel the sand under my feet and to smell the salt of the sea 🐚 _______________________ #inspiringwanderers
Trying new edits, hope I would improve and compare myself to my old posts and see the difference.. . I always like to practice that, where I compare myself to the old me and assess my inner improvement and all the steps forward I took through the years, i hate to stay the same for so long.. . Everything in this Universe is changing and so do we..
