Happy St. Patrick's Day friends! Though I celebrated in Chicago, I couldn't help but reflect on my time on The Emerald Isle! • • One of my fondest memories was visiting this national site that also doubles as a very important scene in Game of Thrones! Oh and fun fact: the rope bridge was originally created by fishermen to connect to the cliffs!
The countdown to #gameofthrones begins... one month away! ⚔️ • Counting down to the premiere, I’ll be posting scene comparisons to all the film locations I visited on my tour in Northern Ireland. 🏰 #forthethrone
Inspired by International Womens Day I would like to post only with strong female characters for a week 💚 . . I choose Yara for this first post because she was and is important to me in several ways. A) she is a badass and cool character who is also able to show depth and humour and is also a good leader. B) she helped me to accept the way I look. But it took a lot of courage to show you how I look without beards or heavy makeup. She felt too close to me. I'm really glad my friends talked me over to risk it. So I really really hope she will survive s8 Q///Q . . Photo by @mlle.bellec ❤️ Me as Yara Greyjoy (Game of Thrones) . . It's a bit of a personal post so... If you don't want to know, stop reading now XD . I mostly try to have a good balance of male and female cosplays, but with a few exceptions the male cosplays are always more popular. Which for a long time made me quite sad that the majority of people only liked my work when I crossplayed and let me question my own femininity and look. I had to accept that I will never look like one of those thin and dainty women regardless how much weight I loose because of the way my body is built and my face looks. Which as I found out also has its advantages, I rarely get harassed and my body looks like it could and would hurt you if you dare to touch me. . . When cosplaying male characters people mostly react positively, friendly and/or confused. So cosplaying female characters for quite a long time was out of my comfort zone, especially sexy and girly ones. I learned that you can do a looooot of things with makeup and shapewear which made me more confident :) Still have to learn a lot but I can see progress ❤️ . . Also I don't give a toss about the gender of a character as long as I like the character. I only cosplay characters I like, this hobby is way too expensive and time consuming to make something I don't like. Plus I check if the cosplay will look well on me and that I feel comfortable
Game of Thrones tour around Northern Ireland. Someone gave us swords and we had to earn our place on the bus, glad Ryan and I made it on and back alive. But seriously, This. Was. Amazing. The sights and bus ride throughout was everything 😍 Also, we’re definitely rewatching all of GoT to prep for season 8 🐉🏰 . . #gameofthronestour#ironislands#gotbelfast#northernireland
