You know the way we quilters can have dry skin on our hands from handling so much fabric? Well this is the solution for me. It’s made here in Ireland and is completely natural. The hand cream is also lovely. Smells like lemon balm. I’m not paid to promote this product I just think it’s lovely. #quilting#quiltsofinstagram#irishquilter#irishquilter @biabeautyskincare
Late in starting my Xmas pressie makes this year (my life at the mo 😵) This was going to be a festive table runner for a pal who loves to entertain. The plan was to make it an up-cycling project, since the white fabric was curtain lining in a former life. It has been a complete nightmare to work with though! Curling when ironed and fraying like a mo'fo' 😩 This block took WAY longer to make than it ought to have. I'm going to restart using something less troublesome and this shall henceforth become a festive pot rest 😁
I had grand plans to make a quilt for the River of Dreams Quilt Exhibition in Limerick next month (next stop Quilt Market 😉) but, you know, life etc. So instead, here's my 6" square contribution to the charity quilt for Novas. The final quilt will raffled off and the proceeds will go towards helping those experiencing homelessness. A good cause AND I get to dust off some rusty FPP skills. Win-win! 🙌
Block 12/48 #thefussycutsamplerqal2 bunnies and frogs and owls 😝 Hoping eventually to tie this random assortment of blocks together into one ✨ quilt. This three blocks a week challenge is just what I need 👊
Total new girl at this quilt-along lark. Joining #thefussycutsamplerqal2 and snapping block 1 happened to coincide with the first sunny day we've had here in Ireland in over a week - it's a sign! One block down, 47 to go 😁 Oh, and I've no theme, unless stash busting counts...
First (and last) ever Instagram selfie. Gutted to be #missingmarket. I unwittingly double-booked myself :/ #fivethingsaboutme, here goes: * I've lived in London, Turkey, Ireland and I'm now just outside Austin, TX. We'll be settling back in Ireland later this year and I cannot wait 😝 * I cosmic ordered my husband (true fact). * Though I learnt to sew as a child, my amazing nana-in-law taught me to quilt. She's still my go-to for inspo and advice 🤓 * I'm a qualified yoga teacher 🙏 and I've been practicing for 20 years 🙀👵 * I became a mom earlier this year to a darling dynamo daughter 💕 . . . #reluctantselfie#quiltingnewbie#texastransplant#modernquilter#quiltersofinstagram#irishquilter#mamamaker
I'm hand-making all my Christmas gifts this year 🙀 *gasp* Why? You ask. Head on over to the link in my bio (I've always wanted to say that) and all will be explained. Just 84 days to go 😬 I must be out of my tiny mind...
I made this lil pot rest/trivet as a first foray into EPP. Fun, fun, fun! So quick to make and the perfect gift. Fabric is from @becraftsy, a free charm pack (boundless ruby fleur) that wasn't quite my cup of tea. No filter - look at those berries!! 😍
