I have spent almost 11 years (in total) in financial industry - from Investment company, through Insurance, and up to Trading - and in every line of business, selling was mostly connected to changing the current state of the person. Let’s take INSURANCE as an example. Whether it’s health insurance, or life insurance, it’s repeated payment. One day, the person has to make a decision of giving up an extra bottle of beer every evening, and actually take care of his health and his life. This is an act of responsibility - and not just common purchase of another pair of shoes or a fancy sweater. This is a serious step. So you cannot sell it just by providing benefits of your insurance package… In INVESTMENT, if it’s investment decisions made by the client itself, you’re asking even more than just opening trading account and depositing money on it. You’re in fact, asking the person to spare one or more hours of his evening time (which he could spend resting, with his family and friends) - and read financial news, world trends, etc. Again - you’re asking him to change his current, normal day life - and this is much more than money. There are maybe 2% of sellers in financial world, that understand this concept clearly. And I want YOU to be one of them.
