We were going to have chicken salad sandwiches because I wasn’t feelin’ it, but then I pulled this out. Steak tips, rice, slaw, and avocado. Sometimes the best dinners are the ones you toss together out of the blue. 💙
All men must dine. 🐺🗡🐉 Vegan dragon’s egg cheese ball. Recipe is insanely easy! • Soften 8 oz vegan cream cheese (I used tofutti) with a fork. Mix in 1/3 cup dried cranberries, a pinch of salt, and 3 teaspoons of herbes de Provence. I also added just dash of liquid smoke. Cover in sliced almonds. Now bend the knee and enjoy!
Layers of crispy homemade crackers | Asparagus | Asian style omelette | Prawns | Asian style mayo | Masago | Marinated quail yolk | Micro pea shoots | Nori • • What to call this thing? No idea, but it was delectable! #microgreens#asianfood#inspiredcooking

7 WAYS TO GET FOOD INSPIRATION #atozchallenge There are days when you just don't know what to cook, this is my perennial problem though. There are times when cooking a simple meal is a task and the take-out menus look more appealing. Or you keep cooking the same old dishes and have a cooking rut. These are all signs of loss of cooking inspiration. What do you do when you lose your cooking mojo? Here are a few ways to regain your food inspiration. 1. Clean Organized Kitchen KG cooks up a storm and when he is done cooking, it's as if a hurricane has hit out kitchen. But when he starts cooking, he needs a clean and well organized kitchen. Since I have OCD for cleanliness and orderliness, we make a great team in the kitchen! Dirty dishes or the general clutter can be irritating and can put your mood off. So take time to organize your kitchen shelves, cabinets, utensils, refrigerator etc. to have a positive and happy frame of mind to have fun in the kitchen with food. 2. Stock your Pantry They say that a well-stocked pantry and fridge is like money in the bank. If you have the basic ingredients on hand, putting together a meal is easier. Of course, you need to figure out what ingredients are essential for you. For example, various types of sauces, cheese, spices, dried herbs, eggs, dairy products, snacks along with grains and fresh vegetables are a must in our kitchen. For the longest time, I considered myself “veg-ish.” I ate mostly vegan at home and mostly vegetarian when we ate out. But that gray area gave me opportunity to cheat those rules a little bit until I realized my lifestyle hadn’t really changed for the better at all. Don’t get me wrong, doing something (anything!) is better for the environment than nothing at all. But I’ve found that I’m really an all or nothing kind of person. And I’m so pleasantly surprised again and again with what kinds of vegan goodies are hiding in all kinds of restaurants! @cornermercantile in downtown Pittsburgh has a pretty great vegan menu - they always have at least one sandwich, one entree, and a handful of hot and cold sides that are vegan. If you’re committed to making it happen, you’ll find really great places out there that can help you along the way. 🌱
Does it count as baking if you don’t actually need to bake it? @lizasdiner says it’s the cake that counts. 🤷🏼♀️ Vegan sweets have been really tough for me, so I’m happy to have found such a delicious fool-proof recipe for a triple chocolate mousse cake! Looking forward to sharing tomorrow for @alexamillerdesign ‘s upcoming birthday! 🎂🌱
