BIG MILESTONES IN MARCH! -- Over the past week I've celebrated a few big milestones: 3 years of operating Braydon Vo Physiotherapy, 2 years of being located inside of World Gym North Lakes and 5 years of living in Brisbane! 🎂 -- To celebrate I'm developing the following concept 🎉👇 -- Introducing the SCHOOL OF PHYSIVOTHERAPY -- I'm still 'Braydon Vo Physiotherapy', nothing has changed there. However, I think the term 'School of Physivotherapy' represents me and my work well. In some ways you could think of it as an educational institution. My job as the teacher is to educate and help you, you pass the exam or 'graduate' when your issue is resolved. This logo/concept represents our mission to better ourselves. -- I've created a few logos for this concept and printed a few t-shirt prototypes, which I'll continue working on. Been doing therapy for the past couple of weeks for my lower back. I have inflammation on a disc. It sucks because I was finally getting out of a plateou. Not very happy about it but it is what it is. I believe I have the most prone to injuries genes because I am always broken. I have also been working on my squat form. The reason of my lesion is because of poor mechanics. I have been squatting for years and my form was never fixed until now that I am on pain. My advise as a Coach is always start by mastering form, body mechanics, and technique then concentrate on getting stronger, faster, etc. Because poor mechanics will eventually lead to an injury. ♦️Angels lose the final game in Arizona by a score of 4-11 - ♦️Justin bour was the main contributor to those 4 runs driving in 2 on a 2-run homerun. - ♦️Pitching was not good the starter, Jeremy Beasley went 2 1/3 innings giving up 5 hits, 4 walks, 5 runs, and 2 HR’s, in other pitching news the Angels new closer Cody Allen went 1 inning giving up 3 runs, a bad way for our pitchers to end spring training. - ♦️ It was a great spring lots of good news for the Angels, i’m very excited for this upcoming season the Angels begin a 3 game exhibition series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Trying to be smarter these days and figure out this hamstring. It’s been a year. A year of pain, regress, improvement, set back, and trying to figure it out. Boston seems completely 100% unattainable to ever happen at this point BUT that’s the fun of the goal. The chase. The work. The failure. The good. The bad. The fun. The excitement of doing something that is completely out of reach. Instead of pushing through running I’m leaning highly on the Elliptigo. Here’s to fingers crossed on getting better. Healing. It has been a little while since I posted one of these! Having done my back late last year I was taking it easy at the gym and had taken a bit of a break too, I had just gotten back into it properly the last few weeks and then I did my back again a week and a half ago. It was so much worse this second time so I made sure I went to a physio to figure out exactly what was going on, turns out I have some disc irritation in my lower back (disc between my L5 and Sacrum) so it’s no wonder I never fully healed last time! Continuing on with regular physio sessions and I have been given the all clear to continue training but to know my limits! . . These front squats were done at 45 kgs which still feels like an easy weight for my muscles but I am restricted by my back. Knowing your body and having a good awareness is super important when you have an injury so that you don’t go beyond that and end up hurting yourself more!! The further I can push my body, the further I can push my mind. Change comes from within and you have to believe it first. Challenges show up only to test you. Will you give up or keep pushing? Will you go back to what’s comfortable or will you push through hardship into something better? I’ve pushed through injury whilst respecting my limits. I’ve pushed through pain whilst healing. The yoga journey teaches so much about life. Some people think it’s always easy and fun; it’s not. It’s just like life. Some days you don’t want to show up but you do. Sometimes you bleed and have to heal wounds from within and you do. It’s raw and it sheds light on all the parts you don’t want to see. My teachers have guided me with understanding, kindness and discipline. I’ve wanted to escape but haven’t been able to. I’ve wanted to give up but can’t. It’s a linear process and a different kind of life. It’s a life of healing, growing and shedding light over and over again. It’s not always clear or easy, it just is. And if it helps one human somehow, then it’s served its purpose. Keep pushing. Keep shining.
