#ipa, aka American #indiapaleale is arguably top of the heap when it comes to #craftbeer styles. But it can be a bit daunting when it comes to matching it to food, especially vegan food, and even more tricky to cook with! But fear not, because the #beerstyle is quite versatile. Indian food rich in spices with a little bit of chilli heat will play off IPA’s own bountiful aromatics. The hops cut right through creamy or (vegan preferably!) yoghurt based sauces too. Those with moderate ABV (towards the bottom end of IPA’s 5.5-7.5% typical ABV) will help balance chilli heat. You could also try pairing with a vegan blue cheese. IPAs’ bitterness is usually amplified to unpleasant levels when cooking, but if you are after a beery beer batter this is the way to go.
