Alona Beach is a beautiful 1.5 kilometer long strech of white sand and you can walk from one end to the other in 10-15 minutes and there's lots of restaurants and some night life too! Which kind of beach do you prefer, a quiet beach with very few people or a popular tourist spot with lots of great night life?
Spelunking. ⛰🙇🏻♂️ 🇵🇭 I took the “long” trail descending from Lumiang Burial Cave, greeted by coffins and after beyond two (2) hours went out via connecting route to Sumaguing Cave. There were 3 Stages: Stage 1 is “The Descent” because this is the part where your only goal is to reach the bottom of that steep, bat-poop covered cliff. Stage 2 is the easy and happy part. You’ll get to see most rock formations here. Stalactites (forms from the top down to the cave) and stalagmites (rises from the floor of a cave due to the accumulation of material deposited on the floor from ceiling drippings) are everywhere. The rock formations are mostly cold to the feel when you get to the mid areas. Stage 3 is what the guides call “The Tunnel” where you get wet and you’ll squeeze yourself into narrow openings and soak in cold water, and be guided by ropes as you traverse the cave. Of the 60 caves discovered underneath the town of Sagada, Sumaguing Cave has the biggest chamber, earning its nickname “The Big Cave.” Inside are countless rock formations (bear, elephants, turtle head, chocolate cake and pregnant woman) slowly shaped by nature over thousands of years. It is perhaps these shapes (and the overall experience) that tourists keep coming back to Sagada for. It wasn’t easy but for you to survive the trail, you need to be very attentive and follow strictly the directions of your guide, else you’d fall on some unfathable pits. Sumaguing Cave is probably the most popular of all tourist attractions in town. . . . . . . . . . . #wanderlust#wanderful#travelphoto#philippines#f4f#instagood#travelphoto#nature#ilovephilippines#photography#photooftheday#travelphotography#nature#wondersoftheworld#asian#pinoy#asianguy#culture#instagood#follow#sagada#mountainprovince#hiking#trekking#outdoors#sunshine#spelunking#cave#caving#lumiang#lumiangcave#sumaguing#nature#sumaguingcave
