Got an opportunity to sit this morning and just do nothing. My mind started to wander and reflect on the past 18 months. . I’m always told by @rff_nutrition that I’m self critical and overly hard on myself. Yes, it gives me the determination to carry on and progress but sometimes you need to just stop and look at the long term progression rather than the short. . This has really hit me! Left side Sept 2018 and right side a couple weeks ago. It has been by no means an easy journey, there have been some major things thrown in my way but I try my best to remain consistent. This may be a reflection of 18 months but my journey started a lot longer ago. . If there is one thing I’ve learnt from this it’s that time, patience and consistency will get you everywhere. Not just in fitness, but in life. . Let’s bring on the next phase 🔥
Ha, last time I won anything for running was at Primary School, probably in the🥚 and 🥄 race 👧🏻!!! A lovely surprise, even a bit shocked as I know my pace is at least 30/60 secs down on a year ago @itsgrimupnorthrunnin. Two week countdown to Manchester.... 😧.

🌐 Fat Burning 101 🌐 One of the most commonly asked questions in the biz is “How do I get abs". Well, first of all, you already have them, it's just a matter of getting them to show 🤣. This is reliant on an individual's bodyfat percentage. "Abs are made in the kitchen"... "80% Diet/20% Training"... There's a REASON these are commonly used phrases in the fitness world!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ The reason is because they are true. Exercise is very important, yes, but if your diet is bad then your time spent in the gym might be completely futile! ☹ So in order to burn fat off your body, you need to be in a ➡ CALORIE DEFICIT ⬅. In other words, you need to be eating less calories than you are burning every day in order to attain a negative energy balance. Your first step is to figure out what your daily calories should be for fat loss (if you Google "calorie calculator" you will find some useful tools). Then all you have to do is eat that amount of calories every day and you should see fat loss. If you are unsure of how many calories you eat daily, there are useful apps like MyFitnessPal that you can use to log every meal. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ Now, there is a little more to it than that, like macronutrient ratios (protein, fats, and carbs) plus your vitamins and minerals. You can't eat nothing but pizza in your calorie deficit and expect to have the physique you want. 😏😏😏😏There are numerous information sources online to assist you as well as online coaches and trainers. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ @cr2talent #personaltraining#muscle#fitnessphotography#beastmode#fitnessjunkie#fitfam#instafitness#fitness#fitspo#fitforlife
Trying something new so give it a like if you’ve found it helpful and I will continue rolling them on weekly. I believe if we dig a little deeper in the big muscle groups we want to targets the better understanding we are going to have on effective training techniques and exercises and therefore get better results with them!👇 The quadriceps often described as one muscle are actually a group of muscles running along the anterior femur bone which interlink together to form the quadricep which as the name suggests is formed of 4 muscles; rectus femoris, vastus intermedius, vastus medialis and vastus lateralis.🤓 With the names of these vastus simply meaning vast or large. Medialis refers to the location on the inside of the thigh. Lateralis referring to its location on the outside of the leg. Intermedius referring to its location in between the two muscles. And rectus meaning straight and femoris referring to the femur (bone).😇 On the bottom end of these muscles they all attach at the tibial tuberosity or the top end of the tibia and just after the knee joint. 😁 Only the rectus fermoris crosses the hip and therefore the other three muscles only have one action to perform being knee extension. 😌 They are all also responsible for keep the patella (knee cap) stable and tracking in a straight line. 😎 Therefore to effectively target your quadricep muscles any knee extension (knee straightening) will be working them.🤗 DM if you need help programming your training!📩 ----------------------------------------------------------- #exercisetime#instafitness#fitfam#fitness#fitspo#fitporation#fitforlife#fitlifestyle#fitnessforlife#fitgoals#fitinspiration#fitfun#handleit#exercisetime#exerciseforlife#fitnesspartners#fitnessgoal#fitnessguru#fitnessbody#fitnessfirst#fitnessphysique#fitnesstips#fitbody#instafitness#fitnessblogger#fitnessaddict
