I finally got to indulge in some fine Latin American cuisine at the lovely @wakadubai in @oberoidubai. . From the signature smoke infused wakamole to the spare ribs in Cantonese marination, the dishes had a great culinary twist to them. Loved their take on the carretillero which comes with tiger prawns and seabass immersed in a spicy soup. . We also tried the truffled quinoa risotto which was a spoonful of flavors. The Aji Amarillo is one of the main ingredients in Peruvian cuisine and loved it in the risotto. . Hola @wakadubai
Same place, different day. Things change, weather changes, people change; everything changes. Even our perception of change changes. Change is the only constant. Accept the fact and take it in your stride. Many times my friends ask me why do I go to the same place again and again to take pictures. Here is the answer.
I gave a motivational talk recently about my story, about work and about never giving up. . Someone asked me when I finished where my husband was in all of this...and just like in the pic...always by my side as I am always by his ❤ . We are not the perfect couple everyone likes to portray on social media, but we are perfectly imperfect that makes our story so special. Each event, each crazy idea, every panic attack...thank you baby for being our rock ❤ #blessed
When life gives you lemons... make a lemon cake collection 🍋🍋🍋 Cheesy yes but I couldn’t resist! 😂 . Why haven’t I shared these babes earlier? A part of me was waiting for the “right moment” but never ended up knowing so here I am just going random 🙃 . When @carousel_weddings_events gave me the mood board with all the white, yellow and green it was a no-brainer for me. Thank you my loves at Carousel, it was such a proud moment to be part of your magic 💛 . A special thank you to Vinita @cakekraftsdubai for helping me realize my vision of these sugar flowers and lemons. So refreshing to meet other talents who do this with passion. With over a decade of teaching experience Vinita is probably the most knowledgeable and sensible sugar flower artist in town. #strongertogether 💛
A good while back, I weighed my heaviest at 68.5 kg (non pregnant weight) and everything I did in terms of diet control was failing. I have usually been someone who works best while eating fairly alright with workouts done in parallel. However, I had developed some knee issues (which I now know is cos I wrongly stretched some muscles and needed a good doze of physio for the same) and could not work out. However I knew my diet control was failing majorly cos I was getting v tired each evening. I knew I was doing something wrong but couldnt quite understand what. I signed myself with a nutritionist back home and a 3 day recall of what i have been eating, she said am not getting enough proteins and that I need to increase the protein intake. I was quite surprised when she said this since I always thought I included some form of protein with each meal. Well, I was clearly wrong :). I now weigh 64 kg (long way to go to reach my goal) but a lot stronger fitter and more importantly energetic. One of the main things I got out of signing up with the nutritionist is having a good mix of everything in my plate. So on a day like today where my mil had made karunai masiyal (yam), i just decided to have some banana cut up n dunked into some curd with a sprinklen of chia n cinnamon. Most days I cut up some cucumber/carrot slices. I also had some paanagam which my mil had made yest and ofcourse some hot hot rice with ghee:). #balancedmeals#sowmptuous#sowmptuousdailyfood#karunaimasiyal#karunaikizhangu#foodblogger#foodblogging#igerschennai#igersindia#igersdubai#meals#tamilsaapadu#tamilfood#tamilcuisine#banana#curdbanana#cinnamon#chiaseeds
