#intothedepths  Day 1:  What’s in YOUR basket and how did it influence your identity? AND what needs to be taken out of the basket or evaluated to see if it’s there “just because” or if you’re actually claiming it with intention?  One of the things that is in my basket and that has certainly shaped my personality and my tendency to be a perfectionist in what I do, especially at work. if I’m not 100% sure of the correct, I will not do it. I never met my father's expectations so I still feel that no matter how hard I try, I'm still not good enough, or that I'm a fraud in certain matters. Now I free myself from the need to be perfect to other people. Happy Tuesday!  #repost @olympicheartyogi with @get_repost ・・・ #crowtoscorpio . . Welcome to Day 2 Today we practice Pinchamayurasana. . . I woke up to a winter wonderland-all was white in Ithaca. However, not much wind so I took advantage and went for a paddle after my yoga class. 34 degrees but all bundled up in my neoprene winter paddling attire produced some internal heat. After my hour & 8 minute workout, I was hot so I peeled off the sweaty clothes and put on dry stuff to start shooting some pincha practice.  A lady walking by saw me and said: “You must be freezing!” I assured her I was hot from a workout, however after a few takes, I was starting to get cold. So here are a few photos & a video  of my Pincha practice on my paddle race board. My race board is 25 inches wide so it provided me a perfect width for my elbows and forearms to be parallel.  I placed my towel on it since my mat was wet. My biggest struggle in pincha is getting a straight line through my shoulders to the elbows. Need to work on strengthening that area. Patience is today's theme. I was thinking I would just post a picture of my loving family because they require me to be very patient,  but I decided to post #straightuphandstand instead. Handstands are so hard and have required new to be consistently patient but determined for a very long time. Day 1 of #igchallenge #intothedepths #intothedepths  What fills “our” (my) basket 🧺 what internal stuff is packed inside? Is it needed? . . After finishing my Buti certification on 11/11 @thecurestudios and having a crazy filled day with my 3 kids yesterday... today I’m beat 😞 my body, my mind needs rest.. and anytime I allow myself to “rest” this terrible internalized dialogue comes up. I’m not enough, I’m not doing enough.  I don’t even know how to explain it 🤷🏻‍♀️ I feel like if I can just keep things around me tidy it will all be ok... but that outside tidying doesn’t really mean anything... I have this image in my mind since I was young... a run down house paint pealing but the yard is clean and lovely 🌿🍃 and a beautiful home that hasn’t been cared for.. . I’m drawn to the rundown house with the well kept and ordered feel of it. Somehow it makes me feel safer... . . I’m still shifting through my basket 🧺  but i know there’s strength, shame, anger, a scared child, lots of creativity, loyalty lots of judgement and control, fears of losing control- because as a child so much trauma and drama happened i had no control of, friendship is in their too and an unwavering knowledge that I’ll make it through it all- that i have a story to tell... . .  @butiyoga butiyoga @bizziegold @breakmethod @themoderngood #butisattva #yogagivesyouwings #hometownbuti #hometownyogi

Day 13 #ashtangachallenge  with @kinoyoga is Parighāsana.
