One of my favorite things to do is design kids’ rooms. It’s like complete freedom to be as crazy, wild, simple, pure, bright, or muted as you want. The possibilities are endless... kind of like childhood! This is my son, Hunter’s room. Soon he’ll be too big for this crib. 😥 We are thinking about moving him into Ryder’s room. I think that solidifies the bond. You know, so they can do brotherly things together like fart under the covers. 🤭#babyroom #nursery#wallpaper
We love designing kitchens of all shapes, sizes + styles but this kitchen was definitely a favorite. The huge island, coolest stools + the prettiest pendants make this all white kitchen the perfect spot to catch up with the fam at the end of a crazy day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #oakhillskitchen | Photography by @amybartlam | Built by @mcmasterandhill_construction
Happy Friday, friends! I never understand how a week can feel so long yet so short all at the same time. I can't be the only one who has experienced this phenomenon, right?! 😆 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We're headed out to see the Lion King tonight, because #hakunamatata, but I wanted to show you a sneak at our latest project, #triunfocanyonmnd. It turned out so good... go take a peak at my stories for a before photo! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And a huge thank you to @lindseydrewes for putting up with my last minute craziness to get this space photographed just a couple hours before we went on vacation! I don't recommend that, by the way... but the wrong rug shipped out and we were waiting for the right one to finally arrive... long story short we definitely missed our flight. But that's another story 😅 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Have a wonderful weekend! ☀️
It’s been a big week (did you see our article on @mydomaine? Among another things...) but it’s finally Friday night and we’ve got BIG plans to stay in and enjoy being home. What about you? #kgdsanctuary
What are your plans this weekend? We’re going to @highlandparkbrewery to celebrate a friend’s birthday. And on Sunday heading to my sister and brother-in-law’s new place to help them unpack and settle in. Looking forward to some time with family and friends. Hope you have a good one!
The best way I know to end a work week is by spending a quick 15 minutes tidying & freshening up my desk space. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✔️I send off any final project updates to clients & check in with contractors for the week ahead. ✔️I put away any samples - even in a "working drawer" for current projects & easy access. ✔️I compile a list of my top 3 goals for the coming week. ✔️I clear my physical & computer desktop of clutter. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What is your favorite way to wrap up the week? 🥂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Design by @valeriewheelerinteriors
This morning I awoke to the familiar sound of tiny footsteps running towards me, and the words “mama, hold you” in that little sing-song voice of his. Wishing for just a bit more sleep, I pulled the covers up over my head, before he made it to me. I was just wishing for five more minutes. It was just a bit too early for my liking. I had stayed up a bit too late. As he stood at the side of the bed, he uttered an “oh no, where’d you go?” and continued to call out for me. A moment later, I conceded and peeped out. The grin that spread across that boy’s face when he saw me was so beautiful, so genuine. So I pulled him into bed with me and we cuddled for a bit then got up. We shared breakfast, we cuddled on that chair and read books...we enjoyed our morning, just the two of us. And I didn’t miss that extra five-minutes at all.
