If you're curious about essential oils but not sure where to start, I am running two classes perfect for you! Firstly, Essential Oils 101 is happening TONIGHT over on Facebook at 8pm. We'll be looking at the very basics of oils and how they could be relevant to you. The link is in my profile. Secondly, if you are seriously considering using oils but wish you could try before you buy, I'll be running an immersive week long class from the 8th July. I'll send you a pack with 12 oils, and everything you need to start using them as well as some Thieves Household Cleaner. Then we'll have a week long Facebook class with in-depth videos of how you can use each oil (you can catch up at your leisure). Full details are in my highlights or you can message me for more details. Really looking forward to having you involved!
FAITH VS FEAR.... I have been searching deep and I realized something, I constantly let fear get in the way of my faith (but I did not realize it). It goes like this..... God help me with this situation and then in my mind I just keep figuring out my own back up plans. I seriously struggle to just expect good and move on, drop it. I get stuck in the what if my prayers don’t get answered then what do I do? ☀️God is good, why would I expect less than amazing things from Him? Why do I wonder if He can handle this situation? I’ll tell you why and I’m being super honest I have had prayers not answered.... bad things have happened, bad went to worse and then worse all while praying. I have prayers that remained unanswered and it hurt. I’ve tried doing everything right and still no help. It’s frustrating! But I realized something HUGE my faith was low and my fear was high. God has answered me countless times even though I did not really trust Him because I was freaking out. Even though I was trying to make Him listen, to earn His approval. To be the perfect person that God would listen to and answer. ☀️ Well I’m not perfect and I caused myself so much stress, frustration and misery. ☀️ I’m a mess... and God loves me. I have imperfect feelings.... and God loves me. I say and do the wrong things... and God loves me. He can handle me. So I’m just enjoying being free now in faith. I’m finding peace. I just say God “I can’t even deal with this” (because it’s so annoying) I drop it and He picks it up and takes care of it. That was what I was missing 🤦🏼♀️ I needed to just 👉🏻Let Him. ☀️Oh and I also learned to stand up for myself, I just say how I feel now. Honestly is not a sin. I believe it’s everyones right to be respected, treated fairly and be able to stand up for themselves. It’s so liberating!!!! I believe that’s what God was trying to teach me, then He comes in and works miracles because He makes me
This little girl taught me patience, selflessness, and what it is to love unconditionally❤. She has shown me what it is to be a mother. And she continues to teach me how to be a better parent each and every day. We have so much to learn, but together we can do it all.👩👧 🥂 to all the first children! • • Esta pequeña niña me enseñó paciencia y como amar incondicionalmente ❤. Me ha enseñado lo que es ser mamá. Y sigue enseñándome como ser mejor madre cada día. I’ve been thinking recently about the term “homemaker.” The word has some well-deserved negative connotations but I love the idea of literally being a “maker of home.” There’s plenty of shows, posts, and pins about making your house beautiful but what is it that makes that place you go to sleep HOME? . As Latter-day Saints, we have access to more useful resources than a lot of us realize. I recently came across The Latter-day Saint Woman, Basic Manual for Women. The title is a little cringe-worthy but it’s got lots of good insight on “making home.” We’re taught that our homes our second only in holiness to the temple, but creating a space that invites that Spirit in requires us to be intentional about our making of home. . “We do not need expensive furnishings to improve our homes. We can often make something useful from old or discarded items. By working together we can repair and refinish old furniture that we have purchased at thrift stores or auctions. We can paint walls, ceilings, and doors, sew draperies and bedcovers, make pillows, and weave rugs.” . “The pictures we use in our homes remind our families of what things are important. We can surround ourselves with pictures that remind us of our families, our ancestors, our religion, and our goals. These pictures could be of the Savior, the temples, or our prophets. We can also decorate our homes with pictures that help us love nature, peace, beauty, history, and so on. We can also develop our own abilities in painting, sculpture, needlework, and weaving, decorating our homes with our handiwork. We can encourage family members in art by giving them supplies and tools and displaying their work in our homes. We should never make fun of their work or their efforts. At family home evenings we could have a workshop. Everyone could work together to create something of beauty.” -The Latter-day Saint Woman, Basic Manual for Women . This little corner of my home has handmade items, gifts,
It is a quiet evening at home for me tonight. Listening to the rain while I fold laundry. Our living room has slowly been coming together. Next I would like to add throw pillows. Until then, I’ll continue to use my husband. ☺️💕
Summer time is #pooltime! Confession: I actually don't like going to the pool. So, this summer, I wrote it into our weekly schedule. We're doing Water Wednesday, and to keep it simple, we're just taking advantage of the pool in our subdivision. My boys are thrilled. Writing it into the schedule keeps me on track. The boys know it's coming every week, so it keeps the begging to a minimum, and it keeps me motivated to go! What is a summer activity that most people love, but that you could easily leave behind? #thesuburbanhomemaker#waterwednesday#neighborhoodpool
A little wallpaper = a lot of character! When we purchased our home, there were (and still are) A LOT of awkward things about it… room sizes, window placements, lights not centered in the rooms, furniture limitations…you name it! Although the to do lists seem endless, it has been so rewarding giving our first home a new life ❤️
