Very few people choose to do things that bring them joy intentionally. But in reality you have to choose to be happy each and every day despite what’s going on in your life. I always struggled with that. I always thought “well once this happens I’ll be happy...” but I realized I’m the only one in control of my happiness. Now that I’ve grasped this, I have some tips for how to make this choice a lot easier. 👯♀️ Stop comparing yourself to others. The only person you need to beat is who you were yesterday. 🤩 Surround your with positivity. You are who you surround yourself with. 👍🏻 Do the things that make you happy. Spend more time doing the things that set your soul on fire. Anything in your life you don’t like, is part of your life because you’re allowing it to be. It also doesn’t hurt to have daily activities that set you up for success. What I’m referring to is the realistic fitness program I follow and the network of strong women that come with it. When life seems to be spiraling (which it does sometimes) all I need is my 20 minute workout ( which will kick your a$$), and a check in with my group to get me back on track. Want to sit with us? Last year we were in Colorado and spur of the moment decided we would do the Manitou Incline... Had I known just how challenging it would be, I probably wouldn't have done it. Last year I was doing little to no cardio because #cardioistheworst. 😂 "I don't hate it. I just don't like it at all and it's terrible." - Michael Scott (does anyone else quote The Office multiple times a day??) ....Anyway, I've started doing a little more cardio here and there, but plan on adding more into my workouts since we plan on doing the Incline again this summer. I'd like to be better prepared this time... IF I can convince myself to do it again that is... 😬 Do you have any goals you want to accomplish this year?
